I'm building out the interior of my cabin. For some of the walls, I'm installing furring strips covered with pallet wood planks. I originally had non-adjustable electrical boxes and realized I needed something that can be adjusted to the new wall thickness.Carlon has a good reputation and I have used their products in the past. So, it was an easy decision to go with this Carlon B234ADJ outlet box. It was easy to install as expected. Now I can adjust the box to the new thickness of the pallet wall.

Easy to install, easy to adjust, delivered in a timely manor

I tried and tried to purchase this particular style of outlet box at my local building supply stores within a 35-mile radius from my home. I could have saved several miles of travel and my time as well if I had thought of Amazon first. Not only did Amazon have it in stock, but it was also shipped in a very timely manner. This box is great, during new home construction, when you don't know exactly what the final wall thickness is going to be. Just nail it to a stud and after the finished wall is complete just take a Phillips screwdriver and adjust the box to the desired thickness.

The adjustability is grea but the metal bracket causes problems when you install drywall. It stands proud of the stud and will cause your drywall to bulge or break when screwed down.

Went to replace switches and found that the original box was stripped and wires were too short. So I had to open the wall to replace wiring anyhow, excellent time to replace the box as well. My house is 45 years old so that was kind of expected. The new box is excellent, can be adjusted in to make drywall finishing an absolute breeze. Also can be adjusted if you are installing a tile backsplash so there is no need for spacers.WIN WIN!!!I am using these in many of my reno projects, they work GREAT!

Great product when needing to change depth of box because installing tile on the wall. Value for the money, a little pricey but everything is pricey so might as well at least get what you pay for.

Work great as I have not decided or bought the paneling for my workshop! Being able to adjust for thickness of whatever panel I decide on makes that job a whole lot easier! Cost a little more than standard non-metalic boxes but is worth the extra cost with the adjustable feature!
