Might end up with different box art
For those ordering Super Motherload expecting the edition pictured, you may end up surprised. The box art for the first edition is pictured on the amazon listing, but what I received is the second edition, which has the camera behind a man inside a mining craft, looking over his shoulders. That's virtually the only change between the first and second edition though- the box art (and in my opinion, I'd much rather have the second edition box art).Otherwise, a fantastic strategy game reminiscent of dig-dug. Recruit the team-members who will help you best, plan your digs and explosions carefully so you don't give your opponent an advantage, and perform nice combos with your cards. It all fits together very nicely! Don't expect the "deck-building" to be super in-depth, as it isn't the core focus of the game.Really shines with two players, can get a little more "tactical" with three or four as the board will change more before you get your next turn. That's ok, just means you can't plan as far ahead. Some might not like the art style (especially the pilots), but I enjoy it: very retro sci-fi. Overall, love this game!

This Is One Motherload Of A Good Time
If you like deck builders and tile laying games (which I happen to like both quite a bit)...then you should definitely check this one out! While this doesn't feel super heavy, on every turn there is sort of a 'give and take' feeling that I get every time I place a tile down. You have to weigh the balance of collecting good minerals for yourself while also being aware of what you will give your opponent on their turn. I love the tension though! I have only played this with 2 but I imagine with 3 or 4 players, this would get pretty tense. If components and artwork are a big deal for you, this game definitely delivers! Also, it seems like there will be a good amount of replayability as the boards are all double sided. I imagine every game will feel quite different, especially with different players counts. Also, the minor and major achievement cards will definitely alter your strategy for each game as they are drawn at random. Splendid game. Definitely worth checking out!

Very fun, easy to learn. Good with 2 players.
I really enjoy this game. I have played this game 2 times with only 2 players. It is based on a flash video game from a number of years ago with the same name. In this game you are digging tunnels collecting gems and bombs and using those gems to recruit and hire new pilots (these cards are then put into your deck, which makes this a deck building game). This game is pretty easy to learn, has fun art, and is pretty easy to set up.I definitely recommend this game.

Very thin cards
This game is 5 star worthy. Everything is great. The board, tokens, rulrbook, artwork...all good. Even the die cutter did a good job. The tokens fall right out without catching on anything. However, the cards are thin. Almost paper thin. The cards are also not sized well. You will need to sleeve them to make them last. The rub is that they are just a bit too small to fit well in standard sleeves, but are too large for European standard sleeves. I'm afraid they'll rip the when I shuffle them, so into loose sleeves they go.

Great deck building game
Great deck building game. Has a similar feel to Clank! Although, I would say I like Clank! slightly more. My wife and I played one play through and tied. Not sure if that is commonplace or if that's just how it happened. Either way we aren't playing to win, we are playing for the experience and this was a great one. There is a lot of game in this little box, and the rulebook is perfectly written. I would recommend setting up a 'key' of all the available minerals available by taking one each and placing it at the top of the board game for your first few play throughs. Just so you can easily see how much each piece is worth and plan your dig that way.

Beautiful art, very fun game that feels like it goes by quickly!
We have 60+ games on the shelf and this is one of our current favorites - it's beautiful, easy to each and plays in about an hour. Our hardcore gaming friends have never seen or heard of it, but it's a hit! Easy to teach, easy to read and understand the cards and components, and has a deck builder meets dig dug combination that is unique.

Dig! Dig! Dig! and hit the SUPER MOTHERLOAD!
A really cool game. Reminds me of the Playstation one game Mr. Driller. It also kind of reminds me of the old arcade game Dig Dug, but there aren't any monster to avoid. I only have a few issues. One, I wish there were more cards, and two, give us an expansion. Gives us more Roxley Games! What are you waiting for!!!

Great game. It has a very similar feel to ...
Great game. It has a very similar feel to games like splendor and star realms when it comes to the card mechanics. The drilling/bombing on the board adds a nice bit of strategy and flair. I also really enjoy the achievement cards. They give it a bit of a video game vibe and the minor ones continue to spawn when completed unlike the merchants in splendor. The artwork and components feel great and are stunning. For me, it scratches the same itch Splendor does, but it does it better in every facet. I think Roxley has a hit on their hands
