The video player arrived beautifully packaged. Then I learned that I needed a step-down device in order to play it. It would be helpful if Amazon displayed an appropriate step-down device along with the machine for Indian buyers. Now my step-down device has arrived and my initial trials with the machine are good. I want to listen mainly to audio disc's and the sound quality and volume control are good. I also like that the control panel is simple and easy to operate. I have only just started using it, but it seems a nice little machine.

This is a super product. We primarily needed a home-based DVD player for my toddler's use. But something with the added functionality that could come in handy on the move. For ex- in the car, or whilst traveling on the train or plane where WiFi networks may be absent or iffy. This ieGeek player delivers superbly on all the above. It also has a very robust in-built speaker system that has proper sound. The LCD panel swivels, so that's nice as well. We have not used it as a game controller yet, but the functions are available, and should we choose to order the gaming joysticks etc, it will be useful later on. In all, it's been a solid experience. I give it a 5 star rating.

My 8 year-old son had been asking for the iGeek portable DVD player as a Christmas gift for the last three months. He got it in blue (as he wished) and couldn’t be any happier with this handy movie device. It was packaged carefully in a protective wrap. Right from the Boxing Day until the first weekend of January it has been his long distance travel companion. I was patiently waiting for him to give me his feedback. He loves the sharp screen imaging with the swivel feature, clear sound with or without the earphones, the play memory, about 5 hour playtime, and cosmetically - the color he chose. Showed it to all the visitors during his travels and all of them were in “awe”. I do like the built in eye protecting screen filter since there is a lot of blue light coming out from a myriad of electronic devices in a daily use that can largely contribute to the eye retina damage. Very satisfied with the purchase and the seller so far. I can do the coffee chat with my friend and he’ll enjoy the private movie matinee by a mug of hot chocolate.

Never buy again all this brand

I originally purchased this portable DVD player when my son was 2. After a couple months the car charger broke and I emailed customer service on a Friday night asking if I could purchase another and they immediately emailed me back saying they would ship me a new one for free but it was out of stock so it might take 14-21 days. I was totally ok with that and just made sure to keep it charged with the wall charger. The battery lasts a very long time. We love this DVD player because when stopped or turned off it automatically starts playing at the same spot it was last at.....fast forward 3 years. My son accidentally ripped off the cover that holds the dvd in!! So I immediately get on Amazon praying this brand is still available and it is!!! So this is our second igeek portable DVD player and I couldn’t be happier with it!
