Lone Cone Backpacks for Boys & Girls, Sizes for Preschool, Elementary & Toddlers

My son is starting his 3rd week of school and today during pickup my husband noticed that the stitching was frayed and had unraveled leaving a hole at the bottom of the main compartment. When the backpack originally arrived it already didn’t feel durable. The material is very thin and now it has a hole. Very disappointed in this purchase.

Funny story… I always wanted a dinosaur backpack as a kid but I knew my parents wouldn’t be okay with me having a “boys” backpack. When the backpack I was using in university broke, I thought “why not buy a Dino backpack, who’s gonna stop me I’m an adult.”So here I was on Amazon looking for a dinosaur backpack with a laptop sleeve… I’m so so happy with this backpack. I got my boys backpack in my boys science field taking it to boys grad school. Anyway I love this bag, it reminds me of how far I’ve come everytime I look at it.If you have any kids with a “grown up” complex— go tell them college students love this backpack. I’m telling you, I took it to my university’s 400’s level class and everyone thinks it’s awesome. Dinosaurs have always been, and will continue to be, epic. It’s a STEM student staple, very “big kid” and mature 😉UPDATE 8/22/22Backpack was still alive and kicking after spilling like 4 drinks inside of it and survived a few college parties. Very easy to wash. My only complaint is it you always use one strap first when you swing it on, the inside padding of that strap eventually gets all squished and twisted (which is a personal pet peeve of mine but all bags do it eventually, this one did it faster than a jansport). Dino bag met its end recently, it was cool enough to get stolen out of my passenger seat while putting my cart back in the walmart parking lot. Curse Tucson :(

Backpack is poorly made/material is very flimsy/not the quality I am used to compared with backpacks purchased from Target/I do not foresee lasting a full school year…but my child does love it/for sure kid approved/therefore earning a score of 3 stars…as a parent I would not recommend

My high-school 10th grade loves this bag! It is a little small so would be ok size for a smaller kid too! He has it packed full of books and a computer all the time and no problems! Great book bag for any kid big or small!!

Make no bones about it, this 17” backpack is perfect for keeping our little learner prepared and organized for school. With plenty of space to pack his school binder and library books along with his Lone Cone lunch box and even a change of clothes, he has everything he needs to get him through the day. Although he doesn’t use the padded laptop sleeve, we do appreciate the various compartments for keeping items separated as well as the water bottle pocket that will accommodate a taller bottle. The durable poly-nylon material can withstand the daily beating of drops, scrapes and tosses he inflicts, and it’s easy to clean. Best of all, our little dinosaur fan really digs the fun skeleton pattern.

I bought this for my son who is in the 3rd grade. He loves dinosaurs. The backpack is sturdy and durable. It will last him all year and probably next year with no problems.

This was delivered on time and is exactly as advertised. It is durable material, heavy zippers rather than those cheap nylon ones that kids break so easily. Got this as well as the matching lunchbox and am VERY pleased with this purchase. It is perfect for an elementary school child. My grandson loves both of them too!

I ordered this backpack as a last minute replacement for my Kindergartener who now needed a padded pocket for a laptop (thanks 2020!). I absolutely love this backpack and how spacious and well made it feels. My son loves the fun Dino print and the deep pocket for a water bottle. Hoping it lasts the whole year!
