Chef Knife, Elegant Life Japanese High Carbon Stainless Steel-Razor Sharp, Stain & Corrosion Resistant, Awesome Edge Retention

I’ve only been using this knife for a short while now, but in that amount of time I’ve really put it to the test, whether that be slicing potato or watermelon paper thin for an amuse-bouche. I’ve used several different types of chefs knives in the past, and I have to say I am just as satisfied with this knife. First off, right out of the box, it comes razor sharp ready to use with a 15 degree angled blade on either side of the knife allowing it to cut through any ingredient with ease. Secondly, the design of the knife has been well engineered; no uncomfortable oddly-shaped handle, a perfect junction between the handle and blade making a pinch grip comfortable, and overall a really well balanaced knife but a little bit heavier for me. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a great chefs knife at an incredibly reasonable price.

Bad grind, wedges in your veg, not nearly enough material taken off when they created the edge. Looks like they wanted to have as much hammered finish as they could but the edge grind is not very far up the blade and it’s a really thick blade profile. They left a good chunk of unsharpened blade near the handle as well. You won’t make it halfway through an onion let alone a carrot. (Yes it’s sharp but if it weren’t I could fix that, I can’t fix this bad grind)

I loved this knife a lot. It is really good for chopping meat bones or bonesless. I would not use it cut big bones but perfect for chicken, vegetables and fruits.

Very sharp, the knife is very heavy and feels good. It is very hand-friendly and has a great grip. The appearance design is very good, the pattern of the blade is very beautiful, and the pattern of the handle is also very beautiful.
