Wish they made one for adults!
Bought this scooter for my 7 year old, and now the whole family is using it! I have a 4 year old as well, and both of them figured out the hip action propulsion on which this scooter operates pretty quickly and intuitively. The weight limit is listed as 140#. I weigh about 155, but I have gotten on and ridden it when kids aren't looking. Pretty fun! I wish they made them for grown-ups! Very sturdy heavy duty frame compared to other scooters I have experienced. I will probably buy another for my 4 year old. Razor is a good brand.

A lot of fun!
My daughter really wanted a Y Flicker for Christmas but after doing a little research I thought this would be a better option. It just seemed...higher quality.Assembly was fairly easy, except that the instructions apparently weren't for this model. I was doing well right up until it was time to place the handlebars on the base. The instructions were talking about simply tightening the collar lock but there was a plastic knob, not a metal collar.Long story short, I googled it and found the extra 3-4 steps that quickly completed the assembly. No big deal once I found them but it was a bit frustrating up until that point. My daughter thought she'd be able to hop right on this and get going, but it's going to take some practice before she can really get up to speed on it. I tried it out a bit and really enjoyed it. I'm above the max weight but it felt solid enough.

Grandson son loves it. He’s 4 and he handles it so well. Love the solid foot rest so his feet are firm on a solid piece.

Better than expected. Very solid and fun.
What is the difference between the Razor PowerWing Caster Scooter (Black) and the Powerwing Deluxe? It is difficult to find this information, but here is what I have determined:1) Color - The original only comes in Black and Pink (as far as I know), while the Deluxe is chrome, green, and black. I thought the chrome color scheme was more fitting for a toy that would be used equally between brother and sister.2) Build Strength - The Deluxe appears to be sturdier than the standard model.3) Handle Bars - The Deluxe has adjustable handle bars, though both of my kids prefer the handle bars at the top most position anyway.4) Size - the Deluxe is slightly larger in every way.I bought this for my 8-year old daughter's birthday. She wasn't expecting it, but she loves it. Her 10-year old brother uses and enjoys it as well. They both love the fact that you can make it go without pushing off from the ground like a regular scooter... even though it doesn't go very fast. That's not the important part to them.Don't worry about the weight limit. I weigh 220 pounds and I ride the thing all the time. I'm not gentle when I ride it either! I'm not sure where Razor got their weight limit recommendation from... but it is extremely conservative. You need a flat surface for this scooter! It is not meant to be going up or down hills. Okay... maybe down gentle hills. The Powerwing really only shines on a flat, smooth surface. We are somewhat lacking in this requirement, but believe it or not my kids enjoy riding even within the confines of an empty 2-car garage. Unlike us, people living in warm climates with those flat, wide, concrete driveways will be all set.The build quality is very good and very strong. I only wish the brake lever attached in a more flexible manner. It comes installed for the left hand and, though technically correct, it feels weird to me. I figured I could just swap it to the right hand. Nope. In order to do this you would have to remove the grips, which are glued on. It would have been a simple matter to design the brake attachment to make it customizable, but Razor failed to foresee this low hanging fruit.Overall though, don't hesitate to purchase... this thing is really enjoyable to ride.

Great Scooter for Outdoor Fun!
We have had this scooter for over 3 years and the kids still love to use it. Kids aged 5 to 9. have all used it successfully, and have managed to learn to do spin tricks and drift turns. Works best on a smooth concrete surface, very difficult to ride up any kind of slope. Your propel the scooter forwards by moving your hips side to side and lean to turn and there is a front brake. Very durable, even with heavy usage I have not had to change out the wheels or replace anything after 3 years.

A great Christmas present from Santa!
I first saw this scooter in a mall a little before christmas. I was thrill with the movement that people had to make in order to get this scooter going. This little mall section actually let kids or adults to try to use the scooter so that people could get a feel of it. I didn't get on because I felt so embarrass to do it. So I decided to go on Amazon.com to see if they had it in a cheaper price. I was so happy that I found this scooter at least $80 cheaper than the one that they sold in the mall. And not only that, I also saw so many good reviews. When I received the scooter, I just couldn't wait to put it together. The assembly process was easy until I got to the "wing" part. They were not hard to put together but I needed my husband to help me to hold on to one side and I had to do the other side. It took me about 20 minutes which include instruction reading time to put the whole scooter together. I think it is not too bad!Anyhow, I wrapped that scooter up and placed it under the Christmas tree. On Christmas day, I just told my two boys that Santa gave that to me as a gift but he also said it could be shared among them. They were so excited about it.Now I can use this fancy scooter with my two boys riding theirs. It is just so cool. I feel that I did a great execise every time after I rode this. The hip movement really helps with making my big bottom smaller. My kids love it too. I am glad that they are willing to take turns to use it since this gift is from SANTA!
