Very good work surface
Thus far, the mat has served nicely as for electronic fabrication and some small mechanical repairs. Has a nice thickness and grips well. Though I have not rested any irons on the mat, the mat has dealt with solder splatters and hot components. The compartments do aid in organizing and containing small parts. Cleans easily. Can be rolled to fit into a tool box.

Idk what people expect that are complaining it is perfect for the price.
I will update this if I find any issues going forward, but having said that for the price of 26$ and it including a static bracelet and 2 precision grips along with the mat even if the magnetism turns out to be less than perfect the design is still awesome. The ruler at the bottom shows imperial and metric and is super handy, all of the screw drop points are labeled, everything is more or less and some of the screw containers are magnetized although some have criticized the strength of the magnets... some have pointed out it is not ESD resistant, I will do some tests and research on this, but so long as you are safe and practice proper precautions that you would do on most other surfaces I don't think that is a valid argument as they don't claim ESD just "static resistant" and to be fair... the mat itself won't get damaged by static so it is true. I will update this if I find anything wrong but it really does seem like a great deal, I chose this one despite the price because of the screw drop designed in containers locations and the ruler on the mat as well as the tool slots, the design is awesome and it is cheap... if you want something larger than most things you would ever need for soldering purposes or if you want perfect magnets or containers that close etc you shouldn't buy a 26$ mat expecting what you would get for a premium good that costs way more. This is large enough to work with my rather large laptop on it in the event I for some reason needed to do that instead of embedded systems work I could albeit my laptop would be slightly off the mat or covering portions of the mat, and I have a pretty big laptop. In no instance would my laptop need to touch a surface other than the mat though, even if it's hanging off the side the Matt is so thick it wouldn't touch the table the mat is on. You can see the magnets locations on the back and the slots they are located on are labeled on the top, also if you are wondering why most mats are this color and want to buy a black or Grey mat.... they are this color and some yellow because it makes it easy to find electronic pieces and screws as Grey's, blacks, etc stand out color wise better contrasting the mat.

Best rubber I ever bought!
When searching for prophylactics one doesn't normally think of their workspace. But this is the best little protector I've ever had. I can fold it up and store it in a little cubby for just the right moment, then I can whip it out and unroll it into place. Keeping my man space clean and tidy and debris free. No unsightly bumps will accumulate on the surface underneath it's smooth protective covering, keeping my wife happy knowing that she will not contract any unsightly bumps.

Excellent, actually works!
Bought this solar charger to use it for charging my iphone/ipod while camping. Put it on my camping tent and pointed it to the sun, plugged in my device and it instantly started charging! It's very light and quite small when folded (or unfolded).Charging times are not 1-2 hours at least for an iPhone 5. They probably are something like 2-4 hours depending on the sun. My ipod though was charged very very fast (something like 1 hour). The only negative i can say is that when i put my iPhone to charge in the net-pocket that is on the back, my iPhone displayed a warning message saying that the temperature was very high, charging had stopped, and that for charging to begin again it needed to cool off first. This was happening because the net-pocket which is on the back actually "touches" the back of the solar panels, so iPhone was between my tent and the solar panels which caused this rise of temperature. I used a t-shirt to cover my phone and then tied the t-shirt on the top of my tent so i could avoid my phone to both touching the solar panels and not to be in direct sunlight.Definetely a good buy.

Very good
I have used this panel (clipped to the back of my rucksack) for a few months now, and It has been very good. I need a battery pack as it will not charge an Iphone directly, but for my GPS, Ipod and everything else it has worked perfectly. It is tough and will work in the rain, small and easy to carry, the charging times can be long ranging from a couple of hours in Morocco, to all morning in the UK. I use it with a battery charger that fits doubleA and tripleA batteries. Its the first thing I pack to go anywhere.Whether it is expensive or not will depend on how long it last, so far, apart from wiping the panels down occasionally, mine still looks as if it has just come out of the box. This Panel fills a need and does it well.

Exceptionaly Good
A solar panel that I can not fault. It does what it says on the tin. More expensive than most panels but i think the right price(£65) to pay for the quality you get.It charges everything straight out of the USB port(have not tried a tablet). The 12V output accepts all in car chargers.(Itried my Garmin GPS and Griffin USB dual bolt car charger). It even commence charging my Iphone 4S with limited sunshine(cloudy conditions). I can not give charging times as that is something very relevant.Having tried several solar products int he past such as Solio, Freeloader(including Freeloader Supercharger), and EasyAcc solar panels, I can assure everyone that this is by far the best. Robust-Good looking-Effective-Reliable in low Sunlight. I can not praise enough this product.I have only had it for three days, but I am very impressed. Hopefully it will leave long enough to back up my positive comments.A must have gadget for those trekking, camping, and any outdoor activities.

Quite impressed
Pleasantly surprised by this. After checking many reviews settled on this one for backup charging, but wasn't expecting much really. My intended use is for charging a Li-Ion battery pack to use as backup for (mainly) iPhone and iPad topping up. Also as a solution for my DSLR given it has a 12v lighter socket attachment (wish I could charge that via USB!).In a nutshell, it works as described. I've got a 3000 mAh battery pack, and on a sunny UK day it can just about get the battery pack from empty to full in 4-5 h of charging by hanging it from a window, vaguely pointed in the general direction of the sun. That'll give me the best part of 2 full charges of my iPhone 4S from that battery pack. It will also charge the pack on a dismal overcast day, but it took probably somewhere in the region of 12 - 14 h of daylight to do the same thing (so it'll take more than a day really). For a solar panel in the UK, I view that as a pretty good result.I wish Goal Zero would do I li-ion battery pack that'd charge from the 6-6.5v connector (I'm not interested in the NiMH one), it should make it just a tiny bit more efficient that way.One footnote; the product I received doesn't actually look the same as the one in the picture, I'm not sure why and am alway a little unimpressed with that. The pouch and regulator bit is stuck instead to the back of one of the panels.
