My First Book About Genetics (Dover Science For Kids Coloring Books)

My kids use these as a supplement to their science curriculum. They love seeing an overview of different specialty subjects and it helps me know what they are interested in so we can dive deeper into whatever they want to learn more about.

Great description of each illusion to color. Great for self-contained or younger students.

I didn’t like that wrote on front of book for ages k to 3. just black marker it out. It’s for 3 to 80.

These are a bit deceiving. They say, “first” but then have complicated words to write & intricate things to color. They would be great as a supplement for an older student who loves art or keeping their hands busy. But they are not simple enough for any kid studying their 1st book on the subject.

This is a very good book for teaching

Not sure what the other reviewers are talking about, this is a coloring book so of course the images are in black and white. Overall a bit advanced for young kids, I would probably stick to kids in fifth grade and up. Pictures have a good combination of animals along with models (which are a bit more boring than the animals).

The title makes it sound a bit like a book for very young children but it's actually quite comprehensive and detailed. I was apprehensive about whether it would be suitable for my 15 year old nephew who is aiming to study biology at a-level. It got his stamp of approval. I bought it for about £5 which is very good value for what it offers.
