IQ Toys My First Kids Walkie Talkies Super Easy to Use for Young Kids 2 Mile Range and 3 Channel, Ages 5+

My son just turned 9 and was craving a little more freedom. He's my oldest and I'm not quite ready to cut the apron strings, so this set of walkie talkies have been a great alternative. These walkie talkies allow me to check in with him as he is out playing while teaching him responsibility so he can eventually get a cell phone as his romping area gets larger. With this set, I am able to keep tabs on him or tell him to come home for dinner even when he is a a friends house or out riding his bike. I haven't measure the distance, but this works as far as I will let him wander to play, even through the walls of my house. It is super easy to use, with only 3 channels to choose from. The button to talk is clearly labeled "push to talk" so you know what button to use to transmit his voice. I love that I know his message is finished by the sound that transmits as you take your hand off the push to talk button. For our intended purpose, it works great that there is no volume control button so that he can not turn the volume down and claim he didn't hear me. Overall, the walkie talkie set has provided me peace of mind as my son doesn't mind carrying around his cool walkie talkies that his friends think are awesome.

These are very cool. Even though it is advertised for kids, my hubby and I discussed how clear they actually were and not a novelty item. It has 3 different channels that you can choose from. You only push a button, speak, and release for the other's response. We had a lot of fun playing with this with the kids. When not in use, make sure that you turn them off to not waste the battery. Comes with a clip that you can attach to belts, backpacks, etc.

Perfect for little ones. Direction "pictures" to get the clips off to add the batteries are a bit odd and it takes some careful pushing and wiggling to get them off without breaking the clips but we were able to get them off within a minute or so. My 7 year ld things they are the best thing ever Work all around the house/ yard though we haven't tested them further due to the weather.

These small walkie talkies are so cool! My daughters love playing with them even though they think they are "phones". It's so cute they run around the house talking to each other on the phone and then give it to us to talk. Sounds pretty clear and holds a charge for a long period of time. Really great for when you play with the kids. Can use the imagination and have some fun.

Need a total of 3 so I ordered two sets. One of the walkie talkies does not work. Once I took the screws out to put the batteries in, I could not get two of them to stay in. While the belt clip holds the batter cover in, it would be nice to get the screw to tighten up but either it has a piece missing or it is stripped. I am sure the kids will enjoy them. Disappointed only 3 of the 4 worked.

These walkie talkies are really adorable. Great for the little kids that love these and are always breaking their older brothers radios. This gets them involved without the risk of breaking the high priced one. It works effectively for the intended purpose as stated .

Hate to say, these didn’t work at all. My husband bought them for my daughter and I so that we could talk back and forth while she was in the bath backyard. Nope. No go. One handset just let out a squeak pop sound no matter what channel we set them too. Will be returning.

These were a Christmas gift for my 5 year old twin boys. They had a somewhat hard time coordinating the whole "only push button at the same time you're talking, then release" function, but they mostly got it after a few tries. Range within our house was fine; boys are looking forward to using them outdoor when the weather is nicer.
