Original joycons are expensive, a little awkward to hold, and kind of flimsy. These joycons are none of those things. These feel like controllers that can take a hit because they're solid and not heavy. They fit well in the hand, the joysticks and buttons feel great, they work very well independently or together, and they can charge with the usb port or on the switch.The only thing keeping these from being 5-star is they're vibration. First, when the joycons vibrate they sound and feel like the rumble pack on an N64 controller (for those who remember those). It's not an overpowering vibration, but it can be annoying. Second, there is no varying level of vibration; it's always full on. For example, in Super Mario Odyssey there are certain moons (the main collectibles in that game) that require you to ground pound the spot on the floor where the moon is hidden. The only clue you get to finding the exact spot to ground pound is by using the vibration of the joycons. The closer you get the stronger they vibrate. With these budget joycons they always vibrate the strongest no matter where you are. I got similar results with games like Animal Crossing, Overcooked, and Smash.I thought maybe the angle of the joycons when they were attached to the controller part would mess with my inputs, but I played Smash off and online for hours without ever feeling like the joycons misread my inputs (and I make rapid inputs when playing Smash). And unlike the joycons that came with my Switch these joycons, when attached to my Switch, feel so solid and tight on their that they are my preferred joycons to use with my switch. And if these break they're only $40 to replace as opposed to upwards of $100 for original joycons.If you can get past the vibration problem these joycons are great for $40. If I could give 4 and a half stars I would.

Pros: clear instructions / easilySlides into switch / buttons clicks are good / texture is okayCons: constantly Bluetooth disconnect / you have to program controller via adapter and usb - and when it constantly disconnects then it is a pain in the butt especially if you don’t have all those items with you to reconnect the controller.Battery life is awful! Literally I may have a defective set but the battery last maybe an hour / MAYBE AN HOURnOverall 3 out of 5 stars for me - I had high hopesFor this but the. I saw them all over ebay for a few dollars cheaper and the reviews there weren’t so good either. So....oh well - still waiting for Nintendo to fix my drift in my regular Joycons . So these will do for now ;-((

Our original Switch joycons have terrible drift that has made play nearly impossible. I was ready to bite the bullet and get 80 USD Nintendo-made replacements, but then I noticed these low-cost alternatives. They are half the price and feel great in adult hands since they are slightly larger.They still connect to the Switch and fit in the dock. Pairing was easy and automatic once I slide them into position on either side of the Switch screen. They charge while connected, but a bifurcated charging cord is included so that both joypads can be charged at the same time using a regular outlet charger.The low cost is a result of no IR camera, which is fine since we can use our original joycons (with drift) for LABO games and use these for everything else.I highly recommend these controllers. Finally playing Switch games is fun again instead of an exercise in frustration. I am planning on purchasing another set as well.

My son's original right joycon stopped working. Upon taking it apart, the r button trigger had fallen off the board. Unfortunately it's not just an easy ribbon cable swap and requires soldering. That's beyond my skill set so we decided to pick up a new set of joy cons. I do love the originals made by Nintendo, but couldn't stomach the nearly $80 price tag. After watching many YouTube reviews, this pair kept popping up as solid replacements. At less than half the price of Nintendo's, I decided to take a chance. Here are the pros and cons:ProsErgonomic shape - they are much more comfortable than original joycons.D Pad - my son wanted to have a dpad with his new controller.Turbo buttons - nice option to have and very easy to programUSB C - can be recharged on the switch or with the included USB C cable. Was happy to this see versus micro USB.Clicky Buttons - the buttons had solid response and clickConsLocation of charging port - both my son and I don't love where the charging port sits. Depending on how you hold the controller, it might bother youNo IR - would not work with a game like Ring FitD Pad - a pro above, but does make separating and using one controller per person (like with Smash Bros) a bit awkwardMakes the switch a bit larger - it may not fit in your current carrying case, depending on what you have. We already had a larger one we weren't using, and it fits well with the joy cons attached.Overall, they are a great value. I would buy them again and recommend them to a friend. If you don't need IR or HD rumble (it does have regular vibration, but not HD rumble like original joycons), then I would give these a shot.I've also used them with my Switch Lite and they work well there too.

**UpdateAfter experiencing issues with the 1st product the company sent out a new one and made the issue right so far. I was surprised at how fast they shipped the replacement and took the time to make sure it was here fast!! They also took care of everything and made sure what had happened to me won't happen to anyone else and if by chance you have any issue then you can count on them to make it right! That's more than a lot of places are doing. I respect this and feel that my money is in good hands also will have no issue buying products from them in the future based on how well this was handled!! Keep up the great work and I'll look forward to our next business transactions!

Really good joy-cons. I was debating if I should buy these, but I’m so glad I did. They are so much better than the original nintendo joy-cons. It’s much easier to play with my nintendo now. The only reason I give 4 stars is because sometimes it’s annoying to have to take some time to connect them to the nintendo but other than that they are PERFECT! I highly recommend this.

The right controller motion control didn't work properly. Sent seller an email and they refunded my money as there were no more in stock. This controller is very nice. I'll buy once back in stock again.

I love the look of it and the ease of holding it. But I have to give one star because it stopped syncing! I basically have a $50 paper weight. So disappointed!
