I refinish furniture and this is hands down the best protective coat I have ever used
I refinish furniture and this is hands down the best protective coat I have ever used. Goes on like butter, no brush marks even with my chippy brush, no bubbles EVER and dries beautifully. It is more expensive, but so worth it if you don't want the hassles that come with polycrylic. It is thick and goes on with a white tint, but will dry absolutely clear. It is a very strong protective coat. I have also noticed it does not dry out in the can. I have one can that is almost empty for a year and every time I open it I expect it to be dried... but no....like butter. This stuff is so easy to use it is THE best for the beginner, you really can't mess it up. Will never go back to polycrylic or polyurethane.

Rare
Modern Masters clear coat is is absolutely wonderful for painted surfaces it is a rare product for it does both exterior and interior. Unfortunately most of clear coats you find out there are not designed for exterior use. This is a wonderful product for mural artist or any artist who has to do something outside and must require it to be protected. This clear coat can last at least 5 years in in the hot Florida Sun.

Superb Protection
Chainsaw wood carver. This is the best clear coat I have ever used. Goes on like butter. Chip brush is fine. Two coats when oil base takes three. So a bit pricey, but what you save in production time and hassle, not to mention your health, it’s well worth every penny. A little goes a long way!

Perfect as an epoxy topcoat to eliminate spots and fingerprints
I used this on an epoxy countertop to further protect from uv rays and also to provide a finish that resists fingerprints and water spots. Worked like a charm. Only negatives: the finish is more matte than I expected and also when I got to the bottom of the can I ended up with some hard chunks embedded in my surface which caused a bit of a problem. Overall though I really like the product and have already ordered more.

Easy to use
I was prepared for a smelly messy job that would take hours to dry. I was pleasantly surprised there was no scent at all, it was very easy to use, dried quickly, and looks great. Dried to the touch within an hour and was completely dry by that evening. Highly recommend.

Not shipped in proper shipping box
This product is great. What is NOT great is the way it was shipped.....in a plastic bag in a paper envelope. Paint products need to be shipped in a box so they are not damaged and leak.

Research before applying
My wife and I faux stained our tan 16’ steel garage door to look like wood. A few YouTube videos recommended this product for the preservation of the new finish from the sun. Applied, it is virtually invisible due to the wood embossed pattern in the steel overhead door. Completed, it looks exactly like a very expensive wood door...even from a couple feet away.My wife and I also faux stained a brand new tan entry, steel side door that I installed. The stain on the door looked great but the door has no texture like the overhead door, it’s just a smooth flat finish. When the clear was applied it dried with a white / gray / bluish haze that doesn’t quite match the overhead door. We will probably try and fix it but not sure how to do it yet. I hope it lasts a long time because the overhead door is beautiful.
