Great mic
Great little mic. I wish there was a protective case to guard against sweat and moisture. I use this for teaching online HIIT classes.

Great until it breaks
We liked this little mic quite a bit until the the directional tip broke after just a couple of months of use. We were always gentle but this little piece just didn’t hold up well at all.The mic does work without it but we feel the sound quality is better with the direction tip. We were going to get a couple of extra of these little mics because we liked them but I guess we will keep shopping.Pros (before it broke):Easy to use with the smart mic softwareSound quality is goodRange is goodNoise cancellation is better with the directional tipCons:You’ll need a separate mic to work as a receiver if you don’t plan to use their software, or if you want to use it with a cameraIf you want to use with a different device you need to unpair (like with most Bluetooth devices) but it’s a pain to share with someone else.Directional tip broke after just 2 months of use.Note: we did try to contact the manufacturer prior to posting a review, but could not get past the amazon associates. Just kept going around in circles with them, and there was no way to contact the manufacturer through Amazon. Since it was a few weeks past the return date, there was nothing they could do.

Not for Vlogging
The product is advertised as a Bluetooth microphone optimized from VLog. However, that is misleading for several reasons: First, the microphone works only with the companion app (at least in my Android phone). So despite technically it is a hardware that uses Bluetooth to interact with your mobile device, you cannot use it as input source with other apps such as the default phone camera app. Second, the companion app works ok with audio only, but when you try video recording the image quality is awful and the voice is always out of sync. I tried in two different Android devices and in the newest one the frame rate was less chopped but the lack of sync was still the same. So my hypothesis is that the companion app requires a lot of processing power to do what other camera apps do effortlessly in any phone (record video correctly) but even with the most powerful flagship device the audio is always out of sync. In conclusion, the hardware is ok but it's useless if the companion app does not work for you. That is the case of Vlogging, when you look to simply record your video and upload it without need to do an audio sync in post production. So unless your use case is audio only (e.g. record an interview for transcript or taking notes without video) this product is a waste of money.
