These were a great deal. As everyone else has said, you do have to separate them, it seems like it would be a long task because there are a thousand of them but it actually goes very quick. I use some rose scented lotion on my hands and separated them regularly, they left them with a nice scent and they separated easily it only took about 30 minutes to do all thousand. They are very thin, but worth it for the price. No odor on them at all when I opened the package.

Bought for my wedding, the petals are extremely thin and cheap - you get what you pay for. The color is pretty though.
