Varekai

I wanted to go to Cirque du Soleil's shows a long time ago. This year had a chance to finally do it and I saw Varekai show. I was so amazed and so into this show for the rest of the weekend. Besides the high level acrobacy, facial art, costumes and choreography I was amazed by the live music and singers. As soon as I came home I ordered the CD from Amazon.I have to say, the music in the CD is not exactly the same what the music on the stage. In the first moment I thought - ehm??? But then you realize - it's even better! It's adjusted for listening at home with that sense of intimacy and privacy you could not experience much in the show. I love tracks Moon Licht and El Pendulo: they're recorded with string orchestra, which is a bonus to CD record and wasn't there at show.I really lack thewords how to describe the listening experience of this music. From one side, it resembles me music of Enigma or Era. From the other hand Enigma may feel a bit depressive and overwhelming but this is absolutely not. I feel like clearing my soul when I listen to it.Just ordered another Cirque du Soleil music CDs (Saltimbanco and Corteo). If you're hesitating to buy this then I strongly recommend you to do it before this CD is gone!

My first Cirque Du Soleil music purchase. A friend turned me on. Beautiful music to just listen to. I listen to it mostly while I am painting in my studio.

Cirque du Soleil continues to churn out wonderfully colorful and passionate music - Verekai is no exception. I think the thing that really did it for me with this recording was the heavier use of a male vocal. Although I thoroughly enjoy their female vocalists, adding the male in more a leading role was brilliant, especially on their two duets.I was totally inspired when I heard Verekai's calliope-synth-tympanic melodies and enjoyed the performance equally. If you have listened to Cirque in any measure, you'll know that each recording shares similarities, but each progresses down its own path. I think that's why their music continues to sell so well - new ideas, yet conceptually similar.Bravo Cirque!! (By the way - you can find Cirque on the Bravo network with great frequency!)

Saw the show in person, awesome. Wanted to learn more, so I bought CD & DVD, both good, but not as great as seeing it live.

WHEN I SAW THE VIDEO AND I ENJOY THE MUSIC. IT GIVES ME A GREAT IMAGINATION AND MAGIC SO I CAN LISTEN ALL THE TIME I NEED.

This CD was as expected but the recording had the drums too emphasised,maybe this was the positioning of the musicians.

Interesting music, even though only some of the songs seemed to be from the live production we saw... A few of these tracks start off the same, with a gentleman speaking...I thought it was the same song over and over until it got going..lol

紙のカバージャケットは使用感や傷がありましたが、中古なので納得できる範囲です。中のCDやカードはキレイでした。買ってよかったです。

暗闇のなかで噴水のそばにいるような、水の音がします。南アメリカか欧州か、そんなイメージを与える音楽です。ショー自体は見たことがないのですが、それでも充分に堪能できました。「Aureus」や「Rain One」「El Pindulo」はオススメです。どこか、それこそ欧州の酒場で踊り子がいるような、そんなイメージが思い浮かびます。音楽的には明るくはなく、かといって暗くはないのですがジャケット写真のような黒や青が似合う音楽です。

3rd time lucky... I don't have the experience of the live show to compare it to, but nevertheless this cd is absolutely fabulous! . It's atmospheric, captivating and moving all at the same time. Every time it's played it never ceases to mesmerise me. I always get totally lost in it. I would recommend this wonderful cd to everyone. Buy it now!!! :-)
