Harmony of Nature: Unwind. Create. Color.

Nice paper used. Good size book with some very beautifully drawn natural animals and flowers. I ended up purchasing additional copies of this book because of the quality. I've purchased at least 30 different coloring books and Mihoko Kurihara is one of my Top 3 favorite artist. My only caveat are the double sided drawings. I find this to be an almost universal problem and I use a special piece of thin Plexiglas to put behind the drawing while I work. Regardless, this is in the Top5 favorite books.Thanks Garden!

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very pretty book of excellent hand-drawn nature designs. It is in the kind of square format that many of the artist coloring books are now taking. The cover is quite lovely with touches of red foil on it. The designs center around animals and plants you would find outside in the garden or in the woods. There are mice, birds, deer, rabbits, squirrels, owls and cats. There are many designs of flowers and leaves.I counted 55 separate designs. Of these designs, 12 of them span across two pages. A few of the pages of these in my book did not line up and were off slight. On the other hand, most of the designs could be considered a single page designs and colored as such. That is my current plan for most of them.The book is printed on both sides of the non-perforated white pages. The pages are a nice thickness. The binding is sewn in rather than glued. Rather oddly, the last two pages are purposely left with blank pages on the backside of the design. It made me wonder why the artist/publisher did not do this for all the pages as they were aware that it was something the colorist would want.All of my markers bled through on this paper while none of my gel pens did. The paper accepted my color pencils well and allowed for blending nicely.For some reason, Amazon has two versions of this book listed (same artist/same publisher). They seem to be the same size although one has a lighter weight. I am going to list my review in both listings, so you can see what is in the book. I don't know if the lighter, less expensive version is made with different materials or if there is merely a glitch in the system. I purchased the more expensive one because that was the one which was available when I looked at the book.This is a really beautiful book of designs but this book could have been great improved by printing on one side and having perforated paper. I don't detract any points for this but point it out for the artist and publisher to consider in the future. There are a good number of colorists who will not purchase this book based on one or both of these criteria.

This is a beautiful book with very appealing designs that I hope might be suitable name signs for preemies in the NICU I worked. The one very bad thing is that the pages are not scored and they are printed on both sides. I had to cut them out with a razor blade and then do a straight cut with my paper cutter. I also loved the patterns so much that I ordered another and did the same thing. I wish this company would score the pages as I have seen others in the series that are the same.

Beautiful book but this book is basically the same as this artists "garden coloring book" .I love the drawings so much I will keep both,but buyer beware!!.

Great book of patterns

Fast delivery and in good order. This is one of the best coloring books I have come across. The mice, butterflies, and astonishing blossoms are magnificent. There is nothing cheaply drawn, no shortcuts, or delirious repetitions. A keepsake.

I have about 30 coloring books. Yes, I have excessive compulsive disorder. (ECD) This is by far one of the best. The drawings are beautiful. If you like to do your own shading they are perfect. It's worth every penny.

Beautiful Book!!, The artwork is lovely, pages are simple to moderately detailed. Very relaxing to work in and fairly quick to complete a project. The paper is white, medium weight and fairly smooth. Over 60 pages to color plus the last couple of pages have some smaller images that can be colored and used as card fronts or card/picture embellishments. A very nice touch. Would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys nature and animals.

very nice. wild and pet birds, all with flowers. some animal wild life a well.: foxes ,mice, chipmunk, bunnies, a fawn, as well some sea life. all very life like drawings.paper quality seems very good.both side of pages have pitchers.

Drawings are large and simple.
