Savage

This was my fave album in 1987 and it still holds up against their entire catalogue. They revisited the synths and her vocals are stunning! She hits it out of the park with so many styles and the songs range from soul to dance to funk and sultry balladry. On vinyl it’s an even more enjoyable experience! Note: this is Annie’s personal favorite!

This is the Eurythmics at their creative best. I have very fond memories of driving around Denver, circa 1992, listening to this very cd on my first car's tape deck. Favorite tracks include the entire disc. I searched and bought this cd here to get back to that simpler time in my mind... And because I love these songs! They echo in my consciousness. This collection is why I've followed Annie Lennox's career, purchasing her solo efforts sound unheard, over the past 20 years. This tape recording of "Savage" hipped me to the fact 27 years ago that this woman can SING.

Easily my favorite CD from Eurythmics - every song is classic and the video companion that was released was amazing as well. It had a video for every song on the CD, in the order of the CD, and I only wish that they'd included a DVD copy of the video release with the remastered edition. The remaster sounds amazing! If you are a Eurythmics fan, and haven't heard this yet - it's a must have!

Eurythmics are my all time favorite band with Duran Duran a close second. Savage is (in my opinion) their best effort to date and love every song (except ironically "Savage")on the album. I was also very lucky to get the VHS video album when it first came out. One can only hope that they'll one day release it on DVD or Blu-ray. All the bonus tracks are kewl and a nice plus. This CD is well worth the price!!! A must have for any true Eurythmics fan.

This remastering is as tight as the REVENGE release. It is thrilling and still shocking and gorgeous. The most fully realized album of Dave & Annie's partnership - it may be too sophisticated for the casual listener, however this is a masterpiece that deserves repetitive listening. It is frightening in it's unfathomable beauty. I recall when this came out and I was blown away listening to it on a cassette in my sony walkman - a lifetime ago. SAVAGE is still relevant today. A precurser to Annie's "Diva". True gem. Add to cart.

I loved this CD years ago when it first came out, but lost it at some point. One of the songs popped into my head a few weeks ago so I had to buy it again. It's just as good as I remembered.

This is an epic return to synth + electronica from the coolest duo In pop. Possibly their best album.

Magnifique, fantastique, hypnotique... Aujourd'hui quand je réécoute de tels talents je ne peux être qu'amèrement nostalgique ! Avec 100 fois moins de moyens techniques, ce groupe, comme tant de la même génération faisaient ni plus ni moins de la magie !
