Excellent VOIP headset (with rj9 to 3.5mm female adapter), superb mic, staff love them, warm sound
We deployed around five of these to a crisis call center location a year or so ago in response to complaints about audio quality from our staff and inbound callers. Since installation it's been smooth sailing, with reports from staff finding that it isolates outside noise well enough, sits comfortably on their ears, and features a surprisingly high quality microphone to boot. Our polycom phones required a rj9 to 3.5mm female adapter but those were cheap enough that this still seemed to be a better deal than the regular headsets we were using (plantronics). After hearing the quality and getting reports back from staff of how comfortable they were we were thrilled to have purchased them. I actually purchased ten or more for our backup training headsets and replacement headsets for other staff members to have on hand. They're great but keep in mind there's no volume control on it and you will require the 3.5mm aux ports for hookup which could be a deal breaker to some. For us due to the sound quality (from the mic and the headset drivers) this is a justifiable compromise. Personally I'm surprised at the drivers they packed into this headset. I use these on my desktop at work as well due to how lightweight they are and the warm sound signature. For the price you just can't beat these.

Good for Zoom'ing
Firts, this is a real review, for those of you (like me) that are suspicious of 5 star reviews. With all the teleconferences we're having nowadays, I had to get something better than my earbud mic. This headset works well, especially for the price. It is lightweight, the pads don't press to hard on the ears, it's not an isolating earpad design, but this is what I wanted. The mic works well- it comes out far enough to be heard, but just far enough back to allow my cup of coffee to get by without bumping :D. The only issue that may be a problem for some is that *** you need a separate mic and headphone jack on your computer *** to work this. For your phone or laptop with only the 4 conductor jack, you'll need to spend another $15 on the Sennheiser adapter cable (I ordered that too and plan to review that soon, but for now it's fine plugged into my computer). So in summary this is a good headphone and I highly recommend it for teleconferencing. Stay safe!

Headphone w/Mic
4 stars because they work for what i bought them for. I purchased PC 3 headphones gaming coms. The mic picks up my voice very well and i am able to hear the other players very clearly. But these headphones are not for listening to music or watching movies if sound volume and quality are important to you. Because even with the volume setting at 100 the sound is not very loud- it stays even and clear with no distortion. I have some other phones that are very loud when i listen to music or watch a movie with the volume is at 60 and above.

Great in all respects, best of 3 devices I tried
Close to plug-and-play, just adjust the volume and test to make sure you've got the mic high enough, and that's it. They're comfortable (on-ear, not over or all around the ears), lightweight, the integrated adapter makes it work with whatever kind of headphone/audio jack your device uses, including combo ones. Great for Zoom meetings. The only iffy thing is that they seem easy to damage if you just toss them around or don't store them in a case, box, or drawer. Sennheiser is known for great headphones, so they are likely to keep functioning longer and function better than ones that cost less, and this is a good price for good functionality.

Not quality
Very bulky and hot to wear

Considering the price, one should not complain.
The sound is mediocre but not bad. It was made for meetings, in other words, to hear that limited range of frequency of human voice, compressed in a low band stream. For what it was designed to do, it does. It would be unfair to judge beyond its purpose. Don't expect sound quality, noise cancelation or comfort. What you get paying $10 on it is economy, reliability and a fair capacity to hear and talk in a video conference.

Microphone Stopped Working
Love the sound quality, but the microphone does not work most of the time. I can be in the middle of the call and it stops working. I have tried different PC's and my cell phone and it occurs on each and everyone of them. I would return them for a refund if that was on option.

It doesn't get much better unless you spend a lot more
First of all, this headset has two jacks - headphones and mic. Make sure your computer has two jacks. If your laptop or computer has a single jack, then search for this: B07GBTY82Q If you are looking for the USB version, then get this: B005HWEZGG What I like: 1. Boom mic reaches all the way to my mouth. 2. This has old school noise cancellation and it works really well. Conference attendees can't hear me typing away on my mechanical keyboard - they don't ask me to go on mute anymore. There are two ports on the boom mic: One facing my mouth and the other facing away. If you want to study how this works, search "Noise-canceling_microphone" on wiki. There is no electronic magic going on and no batteries are needed. 3. Springy enough to snugly fit on my head, yet loose enough to not give me a headache or twist my glasses. Widely adjustable. 4. Obviously, these are not for music - bass doesn't really come through. Perfectly tuned for the midrange - vocals and voice come through really well. 5. The cable is 7 feet long! What I don't like: 1. No Volume Control, but that's okay. 2. Packaging was a pain to open with 2-3 twist ties added for good measure. It looks inexpensive because it is inexpensive.

This review comes after approximately 9 months of extensive usage. MY REQUIREMENT When I purchased this product, I was looking for a headset primarily for attending teleconferences, both on a laptop (using Webex, Skype, etc.) and cellphone. While I was budget conscious, I also didn't want to buy a cheap headset as a) voice quality was important to me, and b) I wanted a headset that would not cause fatigue (I can spend hours on telecons). Also my laptop has a single (integrated mic) 3.5 mm jack. THE COMBINATION I purchased this headset along with Ugreen 3.5mm Stereo TRRS 4 Pole Plug To 3.5mm Mic & Headset Jack Audio Adapter which allows me to hook up this headset to my cell phone or laptop. The product page for this headset recommends Storite 3.5mm Stereo Jack Splitter Cable iPod MP3 Player Headphone Speaker Adapter - 3.5mm Male to 2 x Female - Gold Plated Connectors-Black but I recommend against that: the Storite adaptor doesn't do what it claims (please go through its reviews). REVIEW * Comfort: I've spent upwards of 2 hrs continuously on calls using this headset, and have loved the comfort level: the fit is good, there's no excessive pressure on the ears, and the weight is barely noticeable. The retractable boom mic is a nice feature - I can lift up the boom mic when I don't need to speak. * Audio quality: Great for voice, average for music. If you're the sort of person who frequently jumps around between podcasts/audiobooks and telephone calls, then this headphone could be a great option (the retractable boom mic also helps). * Ambient noise / noise cancellation: I believe this is a very misinterpreted attribute of headphones. I came across another reviewer's comment (I apologise I don't have the URL to that review) which explained why noise cancellation is a bad idea in VoIP headsets. Essentially, when one can't hear oneself, one ends up speaking loudly, as is often observed with the hearing impaired. This was the primary reason why I didn't consider noise cancelling headphones: so that I should be able to hear myself speak. * Microphone: The mic is fantastic, and people who I speak to have often mentioned that they are able to hear me with great clarity. However, what would help in this headphone is if the mic had noise cancelling to eliminate external noises. If you are seeking that feature, then you could consider Sennheiser Pc 310 Gaming Headset (Black) (Disclaimer: I haven't tried those headphones and I can't speak for how good or bad they are) * Build quality: I haven't had any complaints on the build quality. Even though the retractable boom mic is a moving part, it seems to be of good quality and not likely to break anytime soon. BTW, the headset is delicate - you can't throw this into a bag and expect it to come out intact, making it a non-portable solution. * Cable length: Great if you are using at a desk, although one might need to create a few loops to reduce the length. I don't think the cable will be adequate for gamers using a console, although I haven't tried it myself. * No controls: There are no controls to mute the mic, or to adjust the volume. Although I haven't missed this feature - I mainly use this headset at my desk, and I use those controls directly on my laptop or phone. ALTERNATIVE If I hadn't bought this product, I would have gone for the Philips SHM7410/97 PC Headset with Mic (Black) which seemed to offer similar features at a similar price point. OVERALL VERDICT If your need is primarily to attend VoIP calls, this product does a great job. Recommend highly.

Works great. I'm currently using it with a $2 USB audio adapter for VOIP telephony. Everyone I've talked to has commented on how clear I sounded. I'm not a big fan of the Y style connection to the earpieces, but it's a small price to pay in an entry level headset that sounds great. I find that they are comfortable enough where I don't mind wearing them for an hour. I could likely wear them longer, but I haven't needed to yet. While I haven't tested it for Skype, Games, or Multimedia, I think that it would do a decent job for a variety of casual uses. Update: July 1, 2016 I've been using these for work everyday for 8 months and they are still working perfectly. I did add a foam guard to the mic, but that was mostly because I happened to have one laying around from an old headset. I've worn them for up to 3 hours at a time without any serious comfort issues and can recommend these as a reasonably priced option for a communication style headset for VOIP and GoTo Meetings. Update: Jan 16, 2017 Still works great, no signs of wear and tear. I would happily buy these again. While it would be more convenient to have a USB connector built in, these provide the flexibility of using them with analogue connectors (such as on my DSLR in video mode) or with any number of sound cards or usb adapters costing as little as ~$2 from China.

This headset was purchased so I could use on-line language learning websites which require verbal responses as well as listening to speech. It's light, very comfortable, the sound quality is good and the cable is long enough for me. There are two 3.5mm jacks, one for the mic and one for the speakers. This works for my laptop but buyers need to check that their PC/laptop has both a mic and headphone socket close together. Some modern PCs/laptops have a combined jack, in which case a converter will be needed to use this headset. These are cheap and readily available, but it would have been helpful if one had been provided in the box. There is a cable to each side of the headset, my own preference is for a single-sided cable, but it's not really a problem. There's no volume adjuster on the headset but again this isn't a problem for me when using the headset with a PC/Laptop. I'm really happy with the headset, which I highly recommend.
