These bulbs are an excellent replacement for their equivalent 40w halogen bulbs. I had 48 bulbs that I wanted to replace for multiple reasons. The halogens were yellowish, not exceptionally bright, consumed 1,920 watts and created a lot of heat. Moreover, the bulbs would get so hot after just a few seconds that touching one for a moment would immediately cause blistering burns. So first, let's look at energy consumption. At 5w a piece, swapping out the halogens with these LEDs reduced my wattage from 1,920w to 240w. One 40w halogen is equivalent to 8 of these LEDs. BUT that was not the selling point for me. I don’t care how much I’d save in wattage if the light given off made me appear washed out and bluish. The reason I like these bulbs is because 4000K is an excellent middle ground between the bright white 5000K that makes you look bluish and the warm white 3000K that makes you look yellowish. These bulbs are significantly brighter than the halogens and the color of the light is pleasing to the eye. It’s not harsh, blue or yellow. When swapping them, I had trouble inserting a few bulbs into the sockets but using needle nose pliers to slightly adjust the pins did the trick. I’d also like to mention the customer service I received from the seller. For whatever reason, Amazon thinks it’s a good idea to ship bulbs in a very thin bag with no packing or bubble wrap. I disagree. I think light bulbs should be sent in a box with packing but what do I know. Regardless, when I received my order, the boxes were crushed, and multiple bulbs were damaged. I contacted Amazon but they would not replace the damaged bulbs. I didn’t pursue the matter any further. Then one day, approximately 2 weeks after the bulbs were delivered, I received a message from the seller asking me about the bulbs. (They contacted me. I didn’t contact them.) I told them about the damaged bulbs and to my surprise and delight, they said they would send me replacements and they did. Wow! That impressed me. It doesn’t sound like something I should be impressed by, but nowadays, considering the poor customer service that abounds everywhere, it doesn’t take much to stand out. In any event, I received the replacement bulbs and all is fine. Some of my bulbs are hidden behind glass and some are exposed. I actually don’t mind the way the exposed ones look. No one has ever commented on them and if perchance someone does go into my guest bathroom and says that they don’t like the way the bulbs look, they can do their business in the dark 😊. I really cannot think of one negative thing to say about these bulbs. I like the lower wattage, I like the color of the light, I like the brightness, I like that the bulbs are only warm to the touch even after being on for hours, and I am very appreciative that the seller replaced the damaged bulbs. If you are looking for a nice LED to replace your halogens, I strongly recommend these.

Worked real nice in my wall sconces. I love the temperature, hue, or color, of the light. Way better than the bright white reading light we purchased with the lights.

If you are looking for super-bright LED bulbs, these are the ones you want! They are so bright that we couldn't use them in our dining room light fixture!

So far very happy with these. They are as close to an exact match in color and light output as I could've hoped for. I have 2 3-light fixtures in the bathroom. Each fixture has one of these bulbs and 2 halogen bulbs. The color and light output are spot on. I'm including a photo showing these bulbs in the left light of each fixture. The photo shows a slight difference in color and output. But that is only in the photo. In reality you cannot tell the difference. Can't speak to how long they will last

Very bright replacement and it seems to work very well except one bulb went out already prematurely or I would have given it five stars.

Dimmable and super bright.

I ordered these LED bulbs to replace 15 halogen bulbs in a chandelier with a dimmer switch. At full power, the old halogen and new LED bulbs were nearly identical through the frosted bulb covers. When dimmed, the LED bulbs were whiter, but it really didn't matter since they still looked great and I was replacing all halogen bulbs. The old halogen bulbs were only rated for 2000 hours, which is far less than these LED bulbs. Dimming worked exactly as expected. They've been in use for a couple of weeks, no failed bulbs, energy consumption is down, and we shouldn't have to replace another bulb for years. All the halogen bulbs were replaced with LED for about the price of five halogens. Note the bulb dimensions, they're slightly taller than a typical halogen, but it didn't matter for my application. I'd absolutely order them again.

They are just what we needed for our fixture. Correct color and simple installation.

El color natural es justo el medio de los tonos fríos y cálidos, realmente se ve muy cercano a la luz del día. Sólo puse 3 ya que tienen buena intensidad.

Key problem with another brand was buzzing when dimmed. These dim perfectly, no noise.

Definitely should have a dimmer !
