Sturdy and sleek
I did a lot of research on tonneau covers for my 2021 Jeep Gladiator before purchasing this one. I kept coming back to the Bak X4s because of the security features, especially the rail long locking mechanism that secures both sides of the entire cover and not just the end at the tailgate. The install was a little tricky, but, at the end of the day it was 12 bolts in total. I have a spray in bed liner and needed to remove some of it to allow for a proper install. The cover is pretty much watertight at the bulkhead and sides, but the tailgate closure leaves a small gap above the tailgate itself. We've had a ton of rain over the last two weeks and only a little got in at the back end of the bed.Overall this cover looks great and functions very well!

Fitted easily and is a good fit for the Gladiator. Looks good, robust and secure.
For some reason, the 1* review I gave the incorrect delivery at first, is overwriting the 4* review I gave the correct delivery. The first order, the incorrect items were delivered but that was resolved/fully refunded and the correct order received with only a few days delay in work. The correct cover fitted very well and looks good on my 2023 Gladiator and is worth the money. It appears robust, secure and versatile!Other reviewers have noted that the instructions are misleading. I consider myself pretty good with the tools but would describe these instructions as unclear and you really have to sit inside the bed of the truck before you start and read the instructions several times with the various parts in your hands to visualize how they go together, because in view that this kit is provisioned for several different model years of Gladiator with different fixing holes in the bed, there is a "Choice A" and a "Choice B" for the methods of attaching the side rails and you must choose the right method for your Glad.I agree with the comment about the lower forward screw/rubber thingy. It is really only an aid to location during assembly. That "wierd" expanding bolt has to be hammered through the top hole and EXPANDED and then the screw removed again before you can fit the side rail. If you don't do that, the forward end of the rails will not be anchored correctly. The comments that the rails don't sit level and droop down is correct AT FIRST. Once you attach the forward most panel with the large thumbwheels, that pulls everything level and as long as the rear TORX screws are well tightened, alignment is assured. On that note - WHY TORX SCREWS??? Why not a hex bolt with lock washer that I can get a small ratchet on? I found that lying on my back trying to engage those screws under the rim of the bed to be uncomfortable, fiddly and slower than needful. If you are likely to drive round much with the cover removed COMPLETELY, it would be possible to go to Home Depot and pick up 6 feet of Aluminum angle section, paint it to suit the bed color, drill and bolt the angle to the forward flat brackets across the bed to hold the side rails level that way but not many people would feel the need to go that far, I think! One small issue that prevented me giving the cover a 5* is that one of the parts for the strap tiedown was left out of the package but I had a suitable screw and anchor in my "left over parts from other projects" drawer in my garage and so only a few minutes delay was experienced in fitting the cover assembly to the vehicle. NEVER throw excess parts away!I find that these days, a lot of manufacturers will add an extra part of each kind to the package of parts to ensure that if one part count is miscounted low, it doesn't matter but this maker aims to provide the correct number but if one small item is left out, then you are short and dependent on your "left over parts" drawer. That's a manufacturers choice to save a few cents but risks reputation if they get it wrong!!!!Note that if you cant find a small screw in the tie down strap buckle bag, look inside the buckle and I found one was "hiding" in there and prized it out with a screwdriver.

Good fit and looks nice.
The cover went on pretty easy ands fits perfectly on the 2922 Jeep Gladiator. I like that’s it’s metal for durability and rolls up easy to get out of the way.

Great product, poor instructions and hardware.
The installation instructions and description of the hardware is greatly lacking as others have said. You would think that after years of the same complaints, they would fix this issue. Also there is so much hardware you do not need that until you figure it out or watch youtube you are kind of loss. After you have the hardware figured out it fairly easy provided you have the right tools that are not included.

Like it don’t love it
Fit and finish are sub par for this price range. Plastic end caps are undersized/not centered/held on with one screw so that they are easy to twist (first thing I expect will break). Overall length is a little short for both my bed and how the instructions say it should fit after alignment. I didn’t get the quick release knob shown in the YouTube installs- I got what the parts list said was included, and it went together like the instructions said… it is just a little disappointing to see gaps and cheap plastics on what could have been a premium item.

Came broken, missing hardware, hardware quality is not good, fitment is ok, not great
First it came broken. A corner piece was cracked. It has a warranty so I'm going to have to test that out. Several pieces of hardware were missing, mainly just washers which I had on hand. But the other hardware was just CHEAP. It comes with two jack nuts and they are supposed to be torqued to 12.9 ft/lbs and one just stripped at 10. The the two other front attachments for the rail are well nuts and they are very difficult to not have just spin in place.A much better solution would be a bracket you could install on the other side. Use a guide wire to position it.Install was not difficult, but if you don't have hardware on hand it would stop you. And it requires some contortions with your fingers to try and get the well nuts to start to grip. The worst part is the fitment. As you can see in the second photo the rubber guard just flaps around at the front. It has a little bit of glue, but it does not stay down. Not 100% sure this will last. It has a three year warranty.... But I'm not sure its going to last that long and the thing costs 1200 dollars. For 1200 dollars it should look finished, not this rough. If the install didn't have me cutting some plastic, I'd wrap it back up and ship it back to them. But the instructions have you cut your plastic side rails so it is already done. The over all strength is nice. The idea is great.... The execution leaves room for improvement. I would not order again.

Great tonneau cover
Easy install and perfect fit. Rolls up nicely and doesn’t block your view out of rear window. Highly recommend.
