I bought this leather portfolio as a gift for my nephew, and it exceeded every expectation. The craftsmanship is absolutely beautiful—rich, smooth leather with fine stitching. It has enough room to fit everything you want, including a laptop. It has a sleek but sturdy design that gives it a timeless, professional look. My nephew was thrilled and kept thanking me. Great price for the quality of product. The portfoloio arrived and looks just as described. This portfolio is the perfect size and does not seem like it will add hardly any weight to my briefcase or messenger bag. The darkbrown is beautiful and seems like it will patina well. The portfolio works perfectly for how I intent to use it. Great product, and seems like it will hold together well.

The media could not be loaded. With papers and an iPad alone, this is unbelievably convenient but it gets better! It easily holds my Framework 13 inch laptop and the zipper closes comfortably! If for some reason, I need both the laptop and the iPad, it still has room! Its build quality is as impressive as its finish! This is certainly heirloom quality if a folio were an heirloom! The weight is comfortable even with the laptop inside! Without the laptop, it’s slightly heavier than the folio that is being replaced but the capacity, organization and finish are much much nicer! I got the oil rubbed finish and it has not worn off onto any clothing at all. The self healing finish is flexible and light spots just disappear with use! I love the natural color and I would easy recommend this to a friend! If you’re looking, this is the one! I’ll probably use it for my iPad and paper but knowing it will hold more makes it flexible to use and an easy choice!

After considering all my options I decided to purchase this leather portfolio from Gavarnie. The craftsmanship is absolutely stunning. It is “As Advertised” with beautifully finished leather all the way around. I didn’t even think they made them like this any more! On top the quality was the OUTSTANDING Customer Service that came with the purchase! I would not hesitate to purchase over and over again! I used it for the first time today during a presentation and I delivered it with ease because of the strategic and functional design throughout; folder placement, business card holders, etc. I would rate this easily a 12 on a scale of 1 out of 10. If you are second guessing, don’t! BUY THIS NOW! You will not be disappointed.

The portfolio is wonderful in many ways. Its features are great, the size is larger so a MacBook Air fits perfectly well inside, and the type of pockets and distribution is very good. The leather is very soft and nice to the touch. its construction seems solid.However, there is a yellow dye used in the production that I think is meant to give it a uniform color. That dye can transfer to hands and clothes. The company says it will diminish in time. Hopefully that will be the case. I would rather the dye is removed earlier since I don't want to gradually pass it on to my clothes. For illustration, see the photo: On the left is a fine Italian leather backpack and not the right is the portfolio. I treated both with a good quality leather conditioner. The towels you see show the discolor that the conditioner left on the towels after wiping the backpack and the portfolio.Again, I like the portfolio a lot. But the yellow dye is perhaps too much.I need to add an additional comment: first of all, customer service is superb. Very responsive and kind. Second, I ended up getting another portfolio, a waxed leather one. This one is not transferring any dye onto my hands or clothes and is very, very nice, too. It is not as soft as the other one, but I'm enjoying using it every day. I'm glad I got this portfolio. It is very convenient for my daily work.
