Great value, works fine!
It's great value for money and does exactly what it says on the tin. I do recommend checking out a quick wiring and setup guide on youtube before installation. (I'm no electrician.) What wasn't quite clear to me at first is that the mains don't power the connected heater/cooler via the device, that's just to power the device itself (left 2 connectors). Then you connect the thermostat (next 2 connections) which seems to be pretty accurate. And for the heater and/or cooler appliance, you cut the neutral cable (black/blue) of the appliance's power cord, strip both ends and connect them to the terminals of the device (heater/cooler). Once set up, it works like a charm and costs much less than other devices I've checked. Recommended!

gets round obselete
Brilliant thing ,we have a old rex (who?) Freezer and the thermostat had died ,now an obselete thing from all suppliers even the name is obselete unless your italian! We first bought a "universal" thermostat (its got 3 pins) which either refused to switch on or turned everything into the north pole refusing to switch off so iused a timer to switch iit on and off having shorted the supply and black wire.Bought this brilliant! Solved the problem BUTWhy isnt the imput wires for heating or cooling built into the item ? After all it cannot be used without them so makes sense to have a permenant connector to them freeing up space in the joining clamp. And why such a short sensor lead? You can lenghten it but even 2m isnt going to break the bank!Difficult to mount other than in a cut out but not impossible .Good item and half the price of a rubbish "universal" thermostat that wasnt! 20 year old freezer now happy which makes me happy!

Home brewing
Used for my home brewing fermentation control box. Really good controller, accurate and easy to set up.

Use of controller
This is a simple temperature controller. It does need wiring up with mains electricity by a competent person and needs housing in a sealed container. I used a waterproof ABS Plastic Electronics Project Box. (Ebay). It can control suitable heating and cooling devices. I use it to regulate the overnight temperature of two greenhousr propagators with heating only, not cooling. The supplied stainless steel sensor sits inside a propagator in compost and maintains the set temperature within +/- one degree centigrade. Obviously there is a lag time between heater and compost. It could be used to power a cooling fan at the same time if required. I use two of these across the sowing season.

Quite a faff to wire up and then takes ages to kick in
When trying to wire to a fan and get it on the ring main, was quite the faff to get right. The instructions are badly translated, so not idealOnce set up, it does the job, but won't work straight away because it does a long fan cooldown. Its just what I needed, just wish it was a bit easier
