Safe, and less stressful e collar alternative
This collar has been working very well after our puppies surgery. We tested it on her before the surgery to help her adjust to the noise of the velcro and wearing it. She doesn't mind it at all and is still able to eat, drink, and sleep comfortably without fear of her licking at her incision. I also like that you can remove the cloth cover to wash. It holds air well, too. We like that you can connect it to the collar if you need too, also. It's about the same price as the cone of shame e collar at the vet, and we totally feel this alternative has been way less stressful during our pets recovery.

Great product
I've used this 3 times with my sweet fur baby Leia. It really came in handy when she got fixed at a year old, when she had a irritation that we were treating but needed to heal and a few months ago she has surgery to repair a hooded vulva that she was born with and was causing frequent UTI and bladder stones. This was so much more humane than the plastic cone, she could eat, sleep, and walk around so much easier while she healed.Leia's happy and healthy !

It was tolerated quite well by my 60 lbs pit-sharpae mix
Following surgery to remove and dress out a tumor on her hind leg, she could not chew at the wound are and seemed comfortable with this device. It was difficult for me to blow it up, but held up well and only freeked out our cats! It will be kept for any further needs.

This collar did not work
We purchased this collar to replace the hard plastic monster that our dog must wear to keep from attending to a wound on her rear. It appeared to fit great and comfortably but minutes later, we observed our dog totally able to lick the wound. The collar did not work, unfortunately.

My Doggo Treated it Like a Pillow
My Golden had an incision from his sternum to his boy-parts. We used this instead of a cone. He did not mind at all, he treated it like a pillow. No way could he reach any part of that long incision. A persistent dog left unattended long enough might be able to get out of this, but we never left him in the house alone while he was healing.

More comfortable but didn’t stop my puppy
While this soft cone was way more comfortable for my pup, it didn’t stop him from being able to reach his incision after neutering. He’s not huge or anything (only 40 pounds), so I’m kind of disappointed. This probably works better for smaller dogs and animals (or injuries above the waist), but if you have even a slightly larger dog, I would stay away.

Great but not best for eye issues
It did great for my greyhound mix that’s 50lbs and got her the large for an eye injury. She did a lot better with it than the cone but I still had to watch her cuz she could put her back leg up to reach around the donut and rub her eye. I’m a vet tech so I knew what to look out for and put the cone on when we were out and not watching her just in case. These donuts are better for restricting licking of body incisions or wounds but not the best for eye or lower leg issues.

Loved this for after surgery.
Worked perfectly for our small boxer following his neuter procedure. It allowed him to sleep w/ it on. No cone of shame. He was also able to eat and drink. He was smart enough to realize that if the strap got turned around (down by his chin) that he could chew the strap off. This was quite satisfying for him! Thankfully that didn’t happen until the day before he didn’t need it anymore. Our boy is tiny so we looked at review pictures and ordered a large figuring that would be more comfortable for him. It was perfect.
