Looking for Yesterday

Science and family - in Jay's recognisable style
A little boy wants to go back to yesterday, and tries all the science he can think of (which is quite a lot!) to get back there. Even Granddad can't help him, but maybe he can show him that it's not just the wonderful memory of 'yesterday' that's special...This really needs to be for older children than regular picture books - the science includes the speed of light, wormholes and time travel - and the lessons here are also for that 'slightly older' child - living for today, not regretting and harking back to the past, enjoying the time we have now. Quite mature themes for a picture book.I love Alison Jay's illustrations, you know her books instantly from her style, colours and beautiful scenes, dreamlike and hard to forget. This could probably be used in schools but is ideal for science-mad youngsters. One for maybe age 6 or 7 and older.
