Above and beyond
When purchasing the product I did not notice the statement that the bag containing the product would be punctured. Thinking this was a flaw I asked for a replacement which came with even more holes in it. I tried calling to see what was the meaning of these holes. I requested a refund thinking they were defective. I found at a later date that the holes are there to keep the product alive since it was a living bacterial innoculant and some product spillage was normal. The refund was already processed at this point even though the product was still good. I reached out to Harris seed and they said to not worry about it and feel free to shop here again. I still hope to find a way to reimburse them for the product and do appreciate the grace they have given me for non payment! I do plan on using the product and hope it performs well!

very high quality
I love to deal with smaller companies whenever possible, and I was glad to find this legume specific innoculant powder. I'll be using it for the first time this year and expect it to work very well. Funny, the review prompt include "scent" for this product.... I gave it 5 starts, but its not air freshener, LOL :) I am going to peruse their website for seeds, etc for this year and noticed that they actually list strawberries under "fruits" :)

Love my home-grown peas, and think of this as 'insurance'...
I love picking fresh peas from my garden in the spring and eating them right there on the spot! It's a short season, but one to savor.I've always used inoculant to help fix the nitrogen in the soil, supposedly boosting the yield and ensuring a bountiful crop. Some years, the brand sold by the big seed company has been difficult to find locally. So I had to resort to purchasing this brand, despite the extreme overkill on the amount in the package. It's clear that this is intended for farms, rather than gardeners, given that it advertises treating 100lbs of seed. But it's all I could get this time.It may be tempting to pick this up and say 'Great -- I'll have enough to last me for the next 5 years!' Sadly, that's not a good strategy at all. Inoculant is a living organism, and is viable only for the year for which it's packaged. In my subject line, I likened this to insurance. That's because there's not really a good way of determining whether it has any effect on the crop's yield, or not. In my case, I chose to purchase it and hope for the best, rather than forego it and see if there were fewer peas to enjoy at harvest time in June.I wish it were possible to purchase a smaller amount of this yearly, rather than just using a small fraction of the bag and eventually throwing away the rest of it.

Good price for the amount of inoculant.
I use this for inoculating appears I planted. Only thing that would be nice if there was some kind of thing to help distribute it in the role evenly.

Great looking green beans!!!
I used this product for the first time this year and I could not be more pleased!!! I planted three different varieties of green beans and all three germinated quickly, had beautiful healthy plants and super healthy fruit! I thought that 5 ounces did not sound like much, but I only used a small amount of the package for my little garden. I am going to share the rest with my family in Tennessee. This is a great product!

Gardeners!
Easy to use on legumes and will produce better fruit. Enough in the bag for years if you are a home gardener. Plenty to share. This will last me many seasons
