Great Value, need to play w settings however
I am told this mic sounds great and is fairly small compared to some others as it stands about 5" high. When I first set it up however I was blowing people away. I had to turn the mic down in my settings to about 55-60%. The one button for mute is perfect and is easy to see. Would recommend to someone looking to ditch their headset for home conference calls, but doesn't want a giant gaming streamer mic.

Upgrade from webcam or laptop mics; Good for up to 2' + from mic. Midrange sound quality.
If you're looking to improve your online meeting presence, this is a good first step. It picks up your voice well from up to about two feet away. The sound quality is better than you'll have from a webcam's mic or your laptop's built in mic. That said, you get what you pay for. At this price point, you can't expect high quality audio. Paying another $75 to $150 will upgrade you into a range offering better audio.I recommend spending that extra money if you work from home. Your voice and image become the same as what you'd wear to work. You want to project quality. A squeaky microphone is like wearing a cheap shirt/blouse: some people pay attention and notice it, others just get a subconscious impression of you.If your budget doesn't allow spending the extra $75+, then this microphone is a great choice. Otherwise, consider better quality. I'll try to add some ideas in a later edit.Be careful as you upgrade to get a microphone compatible with your seated distance. If you're always going to sit up straight during online meeting, even just audio ones, then lots of microphones will work.Leaning back, however, places you out of range for most "podcaster" style microphones. The standard is having your mouth about five inches away while using a pop-screen to prevent plosive pops. For leaning, you want a more directional microphone. This also filters out typing sounds and household noises. One option is to use a lavalier microphone, as used in TV news studios. "Lavs" clip to your shirt/blouse, placing them close enough to catch your voice. Unfortunately, these are omnidirectional mics, so they catch typing and other room noises.

Exactly what I wanted
I was using a camera with a built in mic, but was told a lot of echos were being picked up. I sought this out because it uses a directional mc, so it will be less likely to pick up sounds that aren't coming directly from me. I also liked the idea that I didn't have to wear or have the mic visible on camera. It works great, I don't notice any echo on the recordings I made. I can talk very quietly and basically mumble while being about one to two feet away with the computer sensitivity set to about 80 percent and it picks me up really well. So it is exactly what I was looking for.

Works great
I used this for zoom meetings. I point it at whom ever is talking in the conference room and it picks up their voices really well. It's a large room so I'm very impressed with how well it picks up their voices from across the room. Simple set up, just plug and play. Love this little mic

Very high noise level :(
THE GREAT MICROPHONE TEST & REVIEWI needed a microphone for skype calls and occasional voice & sound recording.I was able to test 11 microphones. Each microphone was set up with the right sensitivity specific to each microphone. The distance to each microphone (except 2 lavalier mics) was 17 inches. All microphones were set to use the cardioid pattern, except Fifine K690 that was set to use Stereo pattern (I found this way recordings sounded more natural). Then I made 2 tests:1) I have great speakers (KRK Rokit 10 G3) and I was playing "Pink Floyd - Time" through my speakers and recording it with each microphone.2) I was reading the same text and making some noise in my room (rolling on my chair, opening and closing my desk drawers, etc.)CONTENDERSBlue Yeti NanoFifine K690HyperX SoloCastSamson Go MicPowerDeWise Lavalier Interview SetMoukey USB MicFDuce GooseNeck MicCyber Acoustics USB MicAabsom Lavalier MicQueena Steinbeck USB MicTkgou USB Mic M799BTHE ABSOLUTE WINNERFifine K690 - The recording sounds the most natural, highest sound quality, low noise level and high sensitivity. Works well in large conference room with social distancing.
I have been using this with Zoom for hybrid meetings. Local participants are spread out from a central conference table to the walls of a large conference room. This microphone is in the center of the room and I manually turn it during a meeting to point towards whoever is speaking. The Zoomers say they can hear the local participants just fine. Other microphones we had tried earlier produced poor sound quality in this environment, however this one works well for it. Other aspects of this setup include a rotatable USB camera on a tripod, USB speakers, and a mini projector which shows the Zoomers on a wall.

Great Mic for the Price
I don't frequently use a microphone but the built in one on my laptop sucks. This is a great microphone for the price, and I like the way it looks. The mic is weighty and the housing seems to be quality made. I use it for presentations and on video conferences, I've been told the sound on the receiving end is much better than from my built in mic.

Very adjustable, small footprint, clearer than Razer!
I got this highly-adjustable microphone because my expensive Razer Seiren, which is supposed to be cardioid, kept picking up my keyboard typing noises. This mic is better on that front as it's very adjustable.I love the stand which means you don't need to clip it to anything, small footprint that takes up minimal desk space (about 5cm sideways, 10cm front to back). The tilt is easily changed, both the angle up/down and sideways so I can point it upwards just at myself (its pickup range from side to side is decent i.e. beyond just my face! you can have two people talking and both are heard). On-off switch at the back with blue indicator light when it's on.What's more, people I videoconference with say the sound quality is better than with my Razer Seiren! Which has gone into storage now I have this excellent little mic.

Won't recommend but cute
I installed this mic and recorded a few videos... I observed that background noise was also getting captured. I tested later at mictests.com and compared quality of this mic with mic that comes with my laptop. My laptop scored better. But didn't want to take the pain of replacing so just sticking to it.If you are looking at really good ones, find other product

User friendly
As soon as it was installed it, my auto dictation program connected with it, and it was ready for use immediately. It is highly sensitive and picks up near-whispers. The most effective of its kind I have used so far

Surprised and impressed!
Ordered this to try out as the mic on my headset is poor and I always got comments on it. This things surprised me, the sound is much clearer, it's so easy to use as well. So easy to mute and unmute. Definitely recommend this for the small price!

Good price point
Makes working from home calls a lot better. I wanted something for when I don't want to used a headset and this was the best I could find for the price.
