You'll need to know a strong person!
The "easy bend" dining cutlery (I bought 2x forks and 2x spoons for a family member arthritis sufferer) are anything-but easy to bend, but provided one applies some patience and logic, lashings of electrical tape to both the pipe-wrench jaws and the fork/ spoon shafts to save the items from plier damage, and recognises that whilst Uri Geller *didn't* use pipe grips, but the rest of us lesser mortals need to, then the end result certainly passes my extremely self-critical eye!! We've had many of these types of cutlery items previously, but not these particular bend-it-yourself ones, the easy grip rubber handles are pretty standard and work well enough (but avoid putting them into boiling water as it shortens their life somewhat) and these Aidapt ones are just as sturdy as the similar fixed-angle ones, which is therefore why they are hard to bend, and if they weren't hard to bend then they'd be flimsy. They're not particularly heavy which is useful. Overall; good quality, "stainless steel" (is stamped on the shaft) and whilst comfort is an entirely personal thing for anything in life they do have fat grippy handles. They are worth the money and getting an able-bodied relative or friend to carefully bend to your own requirement, just bend a bit at a time, practicing approaching your mouth at each bend, as your own preference will depend entirely on which part of your wrist or hands or both require the assistance of angled cutlery. See photos...... 1) everything wrapped up in protective electrical tape 2) end result, fit for this household's purpose and satisfactory to my own very critical eye ! **Note** the spoon has been bent for use in the *left* hand, that's for peas, carrot / courgette slices, and gravy. Where puddings are concerned the user's right wrist twists as it should so the other (#2) grippy handled spoon purchased is being left straight/unbent with the option of bending later if required. 3) Should you *not* require the grippy handle and find it too fat, but *do* require the customised angle, then *worth noting* that the grippy rubber can be slid off (put the fork / spoon) into warm water) giving you a custom-angled fork / spoon but with a slimmer (hard plastic) handle.

Good idea
Although these are a brilliant idea, they weren't much use to my mum

Not for MND suffers
These would be great for people who suffer with MND ...If the handle where thin, people who suffer with MND need something like this, when their strengths starts to fade in their arms

Bendable fork
It's ok except that the fork part feels very tinny, and they do say don't bend it more than around 20 times or I guess it will break. My mother found the handle too bulky

Not as advertised
I bought this as I’d broken my wrist and could not use a fork. To bend it as shown you have to have a great deal of strength and the same could have been done with a normal fork.

Brilliant item
Item arrives straight and you bend the handles according to the angle you want. It then stays in place and is strong, sturdy and fine in dishwasher. It’s not flimsy and it’s an easy to hold large size
