Well to be honest in the zoom mode it is only about twenty percent as bright as a well known brand name predator light that I have and paid $ 139.00 for.I'm sure at 100 yards it would light up a critters eyes, but not as well as my other light. I did compare the two side by side at night.However, I was looking for a red rechargeable head lamp to use while setting up the electronic caller, decoy and loading my gun that would not scare the critters into the next zip code the way a white light would. This light works great for that. And for only $ 15.85 I can live with that.Final thoughts. It would work great for fishing or walking in the woods or field at night. But don't expect to be a spot light.

I wanted a red light with abilities to dim and change focus and run on batteries or wired to USB. This does it ALL!!!It fits my head without any adjustment needed. The elastic in the band is nice and comfortable. Plenty of illumination and I can tilt the light to an angle I need very easily. So glad I got this ... wish I had done so long ago.

I plan on using this red LED headlight during astrophotography sessions. The light is bright enough to see but it isn't blinding. I really like the adjustment from wide to narrow light. Definitively would buy again. Shipping was fast and the item was packaged well.

Perfect except I would rather it just be on and off, low and flashing are just extra clicks every time I turn it off.

So here is the deal.I bought 3 of these with white bulb. The first 2 from Grace Top seller. I like them very much.The warnings on this is be aware of the details in the print. Grace Top was out. I had to buy from someone else. It turns out same picture has several variations of the LED some as low as 300 Lumens and some as high as 2000 Lumens. I wanted third light the same.I bought the 1800 Lumens.As for my 3rd light I hope it was a return which it will be again. I paid more for it than the first two and it is not good. First the box was crushed but that's not all. The first 2 came with the batteries sealed and new, these were open. The first ones also had instructions, none in this package. The headband on the third seems to show a lot of wear. Even the lamp itself was not in the protective bubble wrap but the charger was.So bottom line, either the second seller sells a junk version or it's a return. But mostly be very aware of the specs.

I bought 2 of these last week before Christmas. Upon opening and trying it out in the house l was impressed...l used it coyote hunting last night for the first time and was still impressed. It worked well..its bright...it zooms and l could see up to 150 yards with it zoomed. I bought extra batteries and chargers so l could go all night...the batteries lasted about 2 hours before dimming...so l juss grabbed the other one out of my bag...finished off the night with it...both worked well...especially for under $20. Wish it could be a little brighter...and if you make or get another one that is brighter...and rechargeable and focusing and waterproof...then please let me know...l will buy it. Deff worth the money so far...its not a $150 wizard...but it works good...l am happy with it so far...comes with a one year warranty and for doin the review they said it will go to 18 months warranty...thats impressive. I will hold them to that. Would l buy another one? Yes for sure...would l recommend it to others? Yes....depends on what you need it for. Bit for $20 you cant go wrong...buy the extra batteries and charger...hope this helps you out.
