Author knows what she's talking about as her husband was fighting debilitating disease. Highly recommend along with her other book, Beautiful Battlefields.

Bo Stern takes the reader on a journey of understanding the God who is in our corner. She guides our hands to an anchor when we are caught in the middle of life's storms. Each chapter is chalk full of valuable perspective, insight into Scripture and vulnerability about her own battle. And yet the chapters are also short enough to guide the hurting, battle-weary heart slowly. This book is a must read for anyone fighting for footing in the midst of the battle. Let Bo lead you to the ground where you can plant your flag and find room enough to stand.

The reading of this book refreshes your soul. It helps you see your true relationship with God. Wonderfully written with scripture references for her points. I read it on Kindle and then bought two books to share. Worth your time to read.

This is a great book for someone (anyone) who is walking through a difficult time a wondering where God is in the whole mess. Our view of God can get so messed up during those times. This book will help you see that God is right there fighting for you by reminding you (and me) of God's character that never changes.

This book is an absolute treasure!. Knowing the God who fights for you is simply show-casing the heart of God. What this book left me with was a heightened sense of worship and a strengthened confidence in his care. I also have found this is the perfect book to give friends who might be going through tough challenges.

I love this book. It is in my top 10 of Christian books I would recommend. Bo Stern's words are like gold b/c she is living out her message. This book focuses on what God does for us and not what we do for God. It's just what I needed!

I thought Beautiful Battlefields was awesome, but this one really reaches to your heart. It's a quick read that you don't want to read quickly because its so insightful. Bo really makes you think with this one and opens your eyes up to how important strong faith is in difficult times.

This book literally wrecked me (in a good way) from the 1st page. I practically highlighted even the who introduction! Thank you Bo Stern for sharing in such a raw open way! Our stories are very important...it is really all we have to offer after all.
