Let be realistic, these are not your top end audiophile hi-if headphones. They cost £21.99 (with the added £5 off voucher). If you are expecting top end hifi quality for that price vs ones costing hundreds of pounds then there a reality gap between the ears somewhere. However for the money, these are remarkably good headphones. Build is solid (much better than others I’ve paid more for in the past) and feel well made and comfortable to wear even with glasses. The detatchable mic is great if you don’t always want a microphone sticking out, but do sometimes need one. Sound quality is pleasantly surprising - I compared it to a set of quite expensive hifi headphones listening to music and whilst they lack a little clarity at the high end in comparison, the bass end was to my ears richer, warmer and definitely enjoyable. Let’s face it you are more likely to be playing games than listening to classical music with these, and for computer use they work well and with good sound isolation from the earpieces which fit over the ears rather than on. Forget the silly “3D surround sound effect” bit, (I think worth removing from the advert) these are running on a 3.5mm stereo jack so there is no true 3D, Dolby 7.1/5.1 or Atmos possible here (even with a pre-processor it’s only going to be simulated), but the large diaphragms do give an enveloping sound. MPOW do also do a proper surround headset, so if you really want 3D sound, look there. These use a 3.5mm stereo jack (and separate jack for mic) so make sure this is what you are wanting, there is an adapter for Xbox/PS use, but No USB adapter or USB plug. Overall for the money, a bit of a bargain.

Great gaming headphones for the price, nice thick cable, pads are passable and way better than i got with my other £100 pair of audio headphones. One problem i have is the mic/headphone randomly cuts out during gaming, so after a week of testing them via ps4, av amp, phone and my amp/dac setup it fails on all of them after about an hour of solid use. I definitely have a faulty pair, maybe a loose wire somewhere, which is why i am sending them back. Honestly exterior wise, they are built very well for the price and look nicer than the hyper x. I may purchase another pair , depending when i get my refund.Edit: My bad (maybe), the Headphones are not faulty as such, realised when i take them off and lay them down and then put them back on again - i jogged the mic and made it loose - which in turn cuts my chat out. Maybe the way the mic is fixed in would be better with a twist and lock system to stop this. So i will not be sending them back. A detatchable headphone cable would be desirable as it is too long. But for the price well worthy of 5 stars.

Other Mpow headphones seem to have pretty good reviews, so thought I'd take a gamble on these. I wasn't disappointed.Build quality is excellent - the anodised aluminium frames give it some strength whilst giving it a premium look. The premium appearance carries through with some subtle Mpow branding and stitching detail on the headband. The headphones are lightweight making them comfortable to wear - happily keep them on all day whilst working and gaming.Sound quality is really good - crisp high-frequencies backed up by a nice deep bass. While not noise-cancelling, the headset does a good job of isolating outside noise, which also translates to very little leakage from them.On the technical side, the detachable mic is a nice feature and the 2m cable length gives plenty of options for standing / moving around while wearing them. It's not clear from the photos / description, but these have a 4 pole 3.5mm plug, but come with a bundled 'Y' splitter for use on PC

For the last year I have been using a pair of Sony headphones when gaming on my laptop but always felt I was missing out somehow in regards of sound quality. Now I play GTA IV and V, the Sims 4, X-Com and Euro Truck and American Truck Simulator so I don't really need headphones with a mic as I'm not into multiplayer online such as COD (I am nearly 50) I just like to kick back and relax playing the single player elements of games.For me these headphones are brilliant. Not only did they have a detachable mic - a bonus for me - but the sound quality is way above the headphones I had been using. There is also a good amount of noise cancellation too. I play in the living room while my wife is watching TV and I could always hear the TV, not anymore.If you are looking for a low budget headset then these are highly recommended.

My son had been going on for ages about having a headset to play games with his friends, and because I know they probably won't last forever, I wanted to get him a set that were reasonably priced, but would be good enough too.These are all of the above. They fit really well, are adjustable to quite a big range so fit adults too, and are pretty good at noise cancellation. Although, with a generally noisy household, it isn't active cancellation so there is the general seepage of noise you'd expect.The sound quality is brilliant for the price too - the bass is good, and the treble is good too, there's a good EQ range and there hasn't been any buzzing or distortion of the sound at all.The microphone is good, if just a little on the quiet side, but the connection is strong, and works well with switch and tablets/phones. Would definitely recommend these as a very good (despite being budget) headset!Long term update. This headset is fantastic. It has lasted through daily use, and as a child would, not necessarily the most gentle of handling.. And it is still as superb as it was when I first bought it. Would highly recommend this!

I recently had purchased 2 headsets from turtle Beach as my old ones no longer worked. I bought them separately and both times there were faults with both headsets. The first one was over £30 and the other was double that and was poor quality. I saw this Mpow headset in the sale and in all honesty I had not heard of them before but I liked the clean design of the headset and I am satisfied with the quality. The sound is fantastic and no feedback compared to other headsets used before. Would definetly recommend.
