I’ve had this outside for nearly a year, and using it daily to turn on and off the outside lights.Easy to wire in and straight forward to connect on the app to Alexa.**use the Tuya Smart app**The unit has been outside on a very exposed post and have not had any issues with water resistance.Override switch is nice for manual use.

The media could not be loaded. Bought two to install outside to control garden lights. Working great through the Smart Life app, where I’ve got them set up to come on about 10 mins after sunset and off at a specified time.The device has live and neutral inputs and outputs, but I’ve only used the live output as a switched live. I left neutral output unused.I wired this switch in parallel to a physical switch to cater for wifi failure. However, as long as there is power to the device, this isn’t really necessary as there is a touch switch on the device for when the wifi lets you down.Occasionally I get a weak wifi signal notification, as it’s passing through some brick, but this has never affected the wifi operation.

I got this to use as an inline switch for an outdoor water feature. It works really well and was much easier to set up with the app than similar wifi controlled devices. Setup took about a minute after downloading and logging in to the app. Works seamlessly with Alexa as well.I've dropped a star as wiring was a bit fiddly because one of the components attached to the circuit board has been placed very close to the hole where you screw the live cable to it's terminal shown in the picture (the grey component in front of the cross head screw). I was able to get the wire into the hole by bending it at a right angle before inserting.

A little fiddly to get the power input wires in but after installation works great. Application is easy to use and set. good range from router. I have installed this in the garage, roughly 15m from the router which is under the stairs. No problems with signal. works great with Alexa. Currently using mine on a schedule for garden lights. Touch power button is as nice feature to override the wireless capabilities and turn lights on and off.

Unlike many smart switches, this unit is waterproof and allows earthing continuity. However, connecting the live wire is an absolute pain because the connector is only a couple of millimeters from the relay unit on the PCB and also right next to a resistor on the PCB. Quite why this design issue wasn't picked up and fixed during the design of the component layout on the PCB beggars belief but aside from this, this unit is good value-for-money and I'd recommend it. It's longevity in use remains to be seen however because it's only been installed for a couple of months.

This was ordered to replace and earlier model that kept dropping out of the WiFi network. Finally it wouldn't go into pair mode. This later one is now much easier to pair and the instructions are much clearer. Also like the internal earth grounding post. Which the old one didn't have. Also the addition of the pairing button makes it simple to pair. On the old one you had to switch it of and on 3 times which made it fiddly to pair. Only dislike on this new one is the position of the positive feed in post. A bit fiddly to get the cable in. Also as it's right next to a resistor one has to ensure there are no stay cable strands lurking outside the post.

I bought two of these for use with some pond equipment. As others have said, these are fiddly to wire up, however I can look past that. I have two major issues with these. Firstly the range is terrible. It’s supposed to be an outdoor relay so it should be capable of working more than 5 feet from the WiFi router, sadly not the ones I have.I have had to extend the cable so that they are now so close to the house I can almost reach out of the window to switch them on manually.Secondly as someone else has mentioned, you get frequent (2 or 3 times a day) random wifi drop outs, it’s definitely the relay and not the wifi as I have two side by side and they drop out at different times from each other. The problem with this is when it disconnects it switches to OFF, it reconnects itself quickly but unfortunately then remains in the OFF position, meaning whatever you had running such as a fountain remains off, the only way you find this out is if you physically see it out of the window or happen to check on the app. Really disappointed in these and now looking for more reliable alternatives.

I installed this device to turn on/off an outdoor light at sunset/sunrise. It can be used with both Alexa and google home, and is very easy to configure in both apps to set up the routines I require. The problem I have encountered however is the stability of the initial apps used to control the device. I first of all installed ENERJSMART app recommended in the device manual. Again this was really easy to set up, however after just one day the app kept showing the device as unresponsive, this in turn made the switch unresponsive in Alexa and google home. A quick refresh in the ENERJSMART app brought the switch back but it didn’t fix the problem with Alexa and google, both had to be fully reconfigured. I assumed that the problem was in the ENERJSMART app, so I set up the switch in the SMARTLIFE app instead. This seemed to solve the disconnection issue, and for a full three days the switch worked as programmed. After three days however the same issue started occurring. This was fixed by deleting the device from the SMARTLIFE app and then adding it back in, and again i got a good few days of it working seamlessly. As of this morning the same disconnection issue has happened yet again. This issue is extremely annoying as it takes a good five minutes to reset the app and then redo the routines within Alexa or google home. This switch is really good when it works, however the disconnection issue makes it a real pain every couple of days. I have smart plugs all over my house and in my garden, and never had this issue sort of issue before. Really disappointed with this to be honest.
