Highly recommend
This is an excellent book for aspiring managers and should be reviewed from time to time by those at and above manager level. It's not an encyclopedia, but it gives a brief synopsis of many key topics and resources to explore further. I did wish it would have had something about terminating employees, as that was something I unfortunately needed to do and could not find direction. It was also validating at times when I felt that my work leaders were coming up short, and helped me clarify where the real gaps were in their actions.

Worth reading (as often as possible)
There are very few books I have read that offer such deep insights and clear actions. This is a must read for new managers. It will change your views on managment/leadership and sharpen your focus in the leverages of success in the new role.It is equally a must read for current/experienced managers. It will help you shed the common misconceptions about managment/leadership and refine your approach. This is a book I wished I read earlier in my career.... that said, it is a book I will always reread as often as possible.

More than a handbook, an invaluable reference book
Everything you need to as a manager to work with your team to deliver great results. You don't need to read the book in one go from A-Z. Like me, you can use it as a reference book, go back to it anytime you want, jump to the chapter covering the specific leadership skill you want to apply. There are 16 in total. And what I like above all are the step-by-step guidance with guding questions and case studies.Overall, a good book.

Great for anyone wanting to be better
I was hiring some new employees and needed something to pass around for those interested. This book has proven to be such a great resource and productivity and team morale has elevated with just a few people reading it in leadership positions.

My experience reading this book
I have been reading the HBR blog for a while. But having the opportunity of having all knowledge on a book is amazingThe book covers everything from how to handle your transition from an individual performer to how to develop meaningful proposals. There's a lot to take back here and apply with my team
