Excellent write-blocker USB drive and a great value
I have done computer consulting of some sort for many years. I have always kind of worried about transferring viruses between computers with USB flash drives. I was introduced to Kangaroo lockable flash drives at work. They are great, but costly. These drives have all of the lockable USB functionality for a fraction of the price and a well constructed plastic housing to boot! I have a few of these on hand for a few different bootable diagnostic tools as well as one for transferring drivers and software from a trusted computer to other computers.

It works, it boots, it write-protects
Pro:I was able to make this 64GB stick bootable using ventoy 1.0.36, at least to boot Linux images. No problem, it just worked. The switch makes it write protected, as advertised. That's what I needed. It stores more and is faster than my ancient thumb drives with a write protect switch.Con:Raw capacity is 58GB. A 1TB Crucial SSD I set up advertised 1000GB and that's what it had. This thing is short, but most USB flash drives are.The USB3 speed is pretty sad. Yes it is faster than USB 2.0. But that is mostly just the cache, especially when writing. The flash is really slow and if you are writing a lot (like a 2GB ISO image, or 10...) then you soon fill up the cache and you might as well go have dinner because you will not want to wait for it. Boot speed is far faster than a CD, so there's that.It is quite expensive for a not fast, 64GB drive that holds 58GB.Conclusion:Ask yourself, how much of a premium do you want to pay for a write protect switch? You can get faster and cheaper flash drives. I like AData. But those do not have a write protect switch. That switch is literally the only reason I would consider buying this drive. And for that, I bought two.

Better Than Advertised – Great Performance and Reliable Read-Only Mode (for now)
Works as expected, with solid performance. The manufacturer claims read/write speeds of R90/W30, but in my testing, I achieved R135/W41, which is excellent. The read-only mode also functions as intended. We’ll see how it holds up in the long run, but so far, so good. Here is some info:Protocol Version: USB 3.20Current Speed: High SpeedMax Current: 496mAUSB Device ID: VID = 0DD8 PID = 2004Device Vendor: NetacDevice Name: OnlyDiskDevice Revision: 0110Manufacturer: NetacProduct Model: OnlyDisk

Certainly USB 3.0 speed about 190MB/s read and 90MB/s write
I normally don't write a review but because there are so many reviews about slow speed, I just wanted to share my case. It was indeed USB 3.0 speed. Crystal Disk Mark shows >150MB/s sequential write but I doubt it. My real-world file copy in Windows Explorer between SSD and this USB stick showed 190MB/s read and 90MB/s write in a sequential very large file copy. For this price and the unique "write-protect" switch, this product has a good value. The red access LED is very easy to see but not too bright for eyes, which is also good. The physical quality looks chap though.

It has a write protest switch!!!
I take care of some old industrial controllers that use MS-DOS programs for management and I was carrying two laptops around. I use this as a bootable USB drive so I no longer ahve to carry around the old laptop - I can now run old MS-DOS programs on my Windows laptop. The nifty thing is that THIS thumb drive has a write protect switch and this prevents the laptop from deleting or changing the programs accidentally.

Tested 128GB, but USB 2.0
got device in, ran though a usb flash drive capacity tester, and it tested at 128gb, looked at connector, its USB 2.0, there are no pins for USB 3.0, still good deal for the price and features

PCs can't see it
Was working fine, but now it doesn't show up. Tried it on 4 PC's. I can't even try to recover my data because the PCs don't see it all. I've never had a drive fail like this.

Genuine and Good Value for Write-Protect Switch
I wanted a cheap USB stick with physical write protect switch. f3probe confirmed the capacity is real.Purchased April 2024: f3write: Average writing speed: 17.24 MB/s. f3read: Average reading speed: 105.06 MB/s.Purchased May 2024: f3write: Average writing speed: 18.11 MB/s. f3read: Average reading speed: 93.20 MB/s.I'm using it as a write protected USB stick for installing operating systems onto laptops. Seems fine for that purpose.
