Grace: Thirty Years of Fashion at Vogue Hardcover – November 16, 2015

I was not able to purchase it the first time around for a couple of reasons:(1) didn't know about it until much later after it was originally printed and already sold-out(2) probably would not have been able to afford it even if I knew(3) since then, have been on the hunt for it, but was unwilling to pay $400+++ for a used, in "good" condition copyFor those reasons, I was excited to open the box and see an almost replica of the the first edition. It is hefty and big...just like the original, though only slightly larger. It comes with the cardboard holder of the typically "fancy" coffee table book. I also noticed it has 8 additional pages compared to the original. I believe these are additional intro / foreword pages versus new images. And there is a single insert, copy of a letter from Grace with her illustrations. In all, it deserves five stars. Ignore the other reviewer who "did not know what they were ordering." Look at the dimensions and weight in case you are concerned about that too.

Ever since I learned about Grace I've learned to deeply appreciate her contributions to fashion, art, work, and culture... This book is a great tribute, and as far as I can tell it covers all the same content that the previous edition (which is SO EXPENSIVE) covered, but it's just smaller and in a paperback. Although this paperback is a thicker material, and has so many pages it almost looks like a discrete hardcover. The box cover is a nice tough... I bought a lightly used version and it's in crisp, lovely shape.

Great coffee table book or a book to make a large impact for styled shelves. Book arrived on time and in great condition. The book is housed in a large orange "case." The book itself is black. The orange doesn't fit with the colors in my room so now I have a dilemma of keep the orange case to protect the book or not! Great addition for anyone interested in fashion, photography or just inspiration for a creative mind. The pages themselves are not glossy but more matte if that matters to someones preference.

I really love this book. It’s on my coffee table and when I need inspiration (towards anything really) I flip through these pages. Coddington is a queen of her craft, creating gorgeous imagery and storytelling through fashion, locations and posing. She is one of a kind. Having the ability to own a compilation of her work is invaluable. Highly recommend this purchase if u need the creative fuel around your home.

This is a huge, gorgeous book. It really does capture three decades well. Keep in mind, these are photos from the past, not current. Don't look at this as a fashion guide, it is really about creating art through fashion photography. I was impressed with the quality for the price. Grab one while you can... last time these sold out and were selling for ten times the price. Glad I waited for this reprint. Well worth the money if you love fashion photography, and especially if you love Grace -- which I do!

As the previous reviewer wrote, yes, this is a very large book, but in the best way possible! Phaidon has done it again with a wonderfully laid out book full of huge, high quality photos. I am already a big fan of Grace Coddington, and this book is an amazing collection of her work. Each photoshoot includes a description of the story behind it, written by Grace herself. If you are a fan of Vogue, and a fan of the editorial side of fashion, this book is a must-buy.

I've waited a decade to get this book. I had ordered it on amazon the first round, but they cancelled my order a day or two later, so I never was able to get that copy. Thrilled to learn of its reissue! It's a hefty book, but that's one of the things which is great about it. I thought it was well edited and equally matched by the beauty of the materials chosen to produce it.

Such a great coffee table book for lovers of Grace Coddington's work. The book came on time and in pristine condition.

Lavish and informative and I found out that it is a re-issue of a 2002 book with a sequel to follow. I might not have bought it if I had known this before hand, but I am quite glad I did so anyway.
