i always thought these things were cheap and flimsy, and would fail with a simple bend in them, but they've been working just fine in my home server despite how tight the case is. makes cable management a hell of a lot easier too, less SATA cables just stringing about the place.

I was building a NAS in a Jonsbo N2 chassis. As there is minimal space in this application, I really didn't want to have to run six separate cables. This is a great solution, taking up far less space.Two points to consider though: 1. Why is the shorter version of this (50cm) more expensive than the longer (100cm) version? 2. I really wish one end of the cable had right angled connectors.

After 21 months these cables cause two of my drives to randomly disconnect under high load, giving out UDMA CRC errors in the SMART UI. It's reproducible, replacing these cables with 'Cable Matters' branded ones fixes the issue, and using this cable again with another system causes the errors to reappear on those different drives.The cable failed after 21 months despite me only touching it once or twice since I installed it originally. It's horrible to debug, drives randomly disconnecting or spitting out errors for days, just to suddenly fix itself for no reason before a different drive begins to spit out errors. It acts like a phantom bug that is incredibly hard to pin down and wastes weeks of your time if it does fail. I bought over £800 in brand new drives since I thought I had some insane PSU or vibration issue that was killing each drive within 10 days of me setting them up.

I would recommend this to all of the buyers who are building their own PC results are fantastic

Works without issue inside a truenas build. It's possible to remove the black sheeth for better airflow in the case.
