Worx GT Revolution 20V 12" String Trimmer Grass Trimmer/Edger/Mini-Mower, WG170.2

Bought this to replace an old Greenworks that never fed the string right. The WORX trimmer is definitely llighter. Battery arrived with one bar and charged up fairly quickly. I wanted to edge with it but the instruction weren't clear as to how to position the head on its side. Took a while to figure out that you had to grab the head and PUSH it out in order to rotate it. The instructions weren't clear on that part. Anyway, got it set up and it worked like a charm. Very easy to follow a straight line. Also did some trimming with it and it works. The only comment I have is could they make the string spools any smaller? What gives with that? They could have been bigger. Other than that I'm happy. UPDATE: I went to use it yesterday and it kept cutting out. I figured the battery was dead but when I put it on the charger, SOLID RED which is a defective battery. Since I'm outside the return window I dreaded trying to work with the company but I was surprised. I managed to get a real person quickly, she took down the information and promptly put in an order to ship me a new battery under the six month warranty. Just now I got an email confirming shipment with delivery in two days. I have to say I'm impressed with their customer service. Not so much pleased with a dead battery in seven weeks but I guess these things can happen. Lets see going forward, but so far, very good service. UPDATE 7/7/24 The replacement battery arrived and put it on the charger and nothing, no lights, so is it bad or is the charger bad? Called WORX again and spoke with Anthony. After we got to understand each other it went very well. At first he wanted me to take the battery to Home Depot and ask them to charge it? No Thanks on that one. So after some discussion, he sent me a new charger and another battery. They arrived yesterday and IT WORKS! Even the first battery that the charger said was defective now works so the original issue was the charger. In fact I opened it and there is a burn on the circuit board. I have to say WORX is a very upstanding company and I would clearly say that they stand behind their products. Now that I have three batteries, I guess I'm gonna have to buy more of their tools. I needed a lightweight trimmer that I could use easily to do spot work around trees, faucets and other trim work. This was it! It easy folds for storage into a small space, runs a long time on one charged battery, and works like a champ. The string spool looks so small but it lasts a long time, several uses around garden beds, string light poles, flower beds, faucets, etc. I also found out it is adjustable so that I can use it as a lawn mower in tight areas that I can't get the push mower in, cuts as evenly as the mower. it is super easy to change the battery and the string spool. The string spools aren't expensive either. There is nothing I don't like about it. I still use the heavy gas string trimmer for around fences trees, and equipment shed in the pastures on my farm but this one is my every day trimmer now.

having used this trimmer now for a a couple of years, I am finally getting around to writing this review. I like almost everything about this trimmer - very lightweight, easy to use, decent power for small jobs, good battery life for small yards. I like the way line is replaced on this trimmer - not by winding line onto an existing spool, but replacing the entire spool My one big complaint (and reason for one star deduction) is with the durability of the line you must use with this trimmer. It is embarrassingly non-durable, resulting in need to constantly feed replacement line. Literally every 10 feet I am pushing the button to release more line. gets old very quickly!

A year ago, I never thought I’d be excited to see an Amazon truck pull in to deliver a weed trimmer. But I was. My gardens had become a mess and I had a lot of work to do. I’m a small woman and needed a work tool I could handle. Worx seemed to fit the bill. My order came within days. The Worx was easy to put together,10 minutes tops. I also ordered a spare battery with more run time. Taking the Worx outside for a trial run, I weed whacked, mowed, and edged 3 of my 6 gardens. I especially appreciated the adjustable handle for obtaining the length I was most comfortable with, and the tool itself was light and easy to handle. The bigger spare battery I ordered did add a little more weight which did not affect my ability to comfortably do what I needed to do. I was amazed at how well the Worx handled all the tasks I put it through the first day. I even cleared out a patch of out of control tall grass growing on an incline. This is a purchase I’m very glad I made, well worth every penny!!

LOVE IT!!! I was looking for a light weight, highly rated, inexpensive trimmer. I broke my ankle and am still in a boot. My front yard is on a steep hill and I bought this to wack the grass in an area that is about 4 push mower wide and 50 feet long, that puts too much stress on my ankle. I first used this in my court yard to wack the weeds between the pavers. PERFECT. I trimmed some areas around the garden areas, PERFECT. I have two other trimmers that are a pain in reloading etc. This is PERFECT for my needs without broken string etc that I deal with, with the others. The battery is still running strong after 30 minutes, it doesn't wake up the neighbourhood, the string feed works great, and I like that I don't have to gas up or trip over a cord. Easy assembly and compact storage. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Wanted to get away from the noisy, smelly gas trimmers so tried this. Trimmer works good but cutting string could not reach grass with edging wheel attached. Battery life adequate. Light weight and easy to store. Could use a little bit more power but all in all a good product. A bit on the pricey side for what you get in my opinion.

This trimmer is light weight and easy to use. Good battery life as promised. Purchased for my wife and she couldn't be happier with it. She has tried many others over years and this definitely the best.
