Easy assembly and quick imstall
Instructions with the packaging were easy and simple to understand.Antenna had a good factory match at 1.2 to 1 SWR on VHF and UHFA little tuning was required on the one longer 6 meter element to get a low match - otherwise good from the start.Construction seams a little flimsy in my opinion . but it seams to be holding up fine to the elements. All in ALL , a good antenna that works well right from the get go.

Good antenna
Comet makes a good product. Recently moved and trashed my old one, replaced it with same item. Good gain, lasts a long time and has 6 meter FM. Might not sound cool but if the e skip fires back up imagine talking to folks on handhelds thousands of miles away. Assembled like a snap, feed with lmr400 cable and this antenna works great.

Great gain
Very good antenna, excellent gain and it pulls in repeaters I never heard with my previous 2 meter antenna. Haven't heard much on 6 meters, but that has more to do with the current conditions than this antenna. Very happy with this unit. Everyone says it sounds good, so that's good enough for me.

Works fantastic.
Fantastic antenna! I have been replacing all my antennas with Comets. Great swr readings. 1.3 to 1 on 2m, 1 to 1 on 70cm and 1.2 to 1 on 6m.I highly recommend Comet Antennas.

Seriously Compromised Antenna with Fabrication Bust
I had a GP-9 for 27 years that finally bit the dust. Thought I'd try the GP-15 as I also have 6M capability on the HF side. Bad factory QC as the mast screw hole was mistapped. I had to cut the head off a deck screw and hold it in the hole with a hose clamp to get it the stay put. The 6M stub compromises the tuning and effectiveness of the 2/440 side and vice versa. The only way to cover 2M below a 1.5 SWR is with an external tuner. The 6M tuning only covers 1/3rd the band below 2:1 SWR, and looking at the extreme amount of inductance in the tuner to make up for it, this antenna is pretty worthless on 6M as you have to drop the antenna to adjust the stub. 6M SSB is horizontal polarization, so a vertical is primarily for FM repeater work anyways. If you want a 6M vertical, consider a J-Pole of Slim Jim. They have more bandwidth and and losses through a tuner are much less.

Poor qc
It seems like for some the Santana works as advertised on others it is completely useless on six meters. Mine will not hit a repeater 7 miles away with direct line of sight on a hundred Watts in the six meter band. I have talked to other owners who have the same problem yet others who it works just fine. Also the radial thread was stripped from the factory.
