EPOMAKER NiZ Plum Atom 68 35g Electro-Capacitive Keyboard for Laptop PC Gamers (68 Key)

I had read about these types of capacitive rubber dome switches before and seen a couple of reviews of both Topre switches and Niz (this type (which are Topre style clones)) and the reviews tended to be very favorable. I had no idea how much I would really enjoy these switches.The switches are incredibly light at 35 grams of force required to press (though you can increase it to 45 with the included add on springs) and it took me a couple of days to get used to pressing them without mashing them down really hard but in the end it has really ruined Cherry style switches for me. The feel is just so incredibly smooth on the Niz Plum Atom 68 and it is a joy to type and game on (since these are capacitive you can actually change at what height the keys activate for faster response). It also helps that the keycaps are relatively thick PBT with a nice texture to them.The mixture of the great switches with additional dampening, the quality keycaps and the solid board construction (I'm pretty sure that there is a heavy metal plate that the switches are mounted on) make for a great feeling and incredible sounding typing experience. It's really quiet but the sounds that you do hear just sound like you are typing on something with amazing quality.Another bonus is that the board is capacitive so you have NKRO (you can hit as many keys as you want without losing an input) and one other side benefit for me is that unlike my Cherry style switch keyboards this one works fine outside of Windows without switching to 6KRO. So, if you need to go in to your BIOS or enter a code for Bitlocker outside of Windows you don't have to worry about switching your keyboard from NKRO to 6KRO mode (at least this has been my experience).The only downsides of this board are readily apparent by just looking at it. It doesn't have dedicated function keys so you have to press FN and one of the number keys, and it doesn't have a numpad. I don't think this matters for a lot of people and it's no deal-breaker for me. Just something to be aware of if you do a lot of work with your keyboard as it makes it a little less practical. The upside is that this board has a few extra keys that you don't usually have on boards of this size giving you a full (and normal) arrow key cluster, a dedicated Tilda and Delete key and a few other navigation keys.In the end this keyboard looks and feels fantastic. If you need it for work then you may want to look into the Niz Plum x108 full sized keyboard that you can find at the Epomaker website but you'll have to wait for it to ship from China (which is what I'm currently doing since I ordered one recently).This keyboard was totally worth it for me. It looks, sounds and feels fantastic and it just makes me want to type for fun now (maybe some Typing of the Dead or something).

Incredibly comfortable. I thought 35g would be too light, but it's absolutely perfect for me (there are springs for 45g included if it's too light for you). The PBT keycaps feel great and high quality. Typing and gaming on this board is pure bliss. I hit a personal best of 131 WPM and 99% accuracy within the first couple hours using it. The sound is also super quiet and deliciously thocky. Do yourself a favor and buy one.

Keys are responsive, comfortable to type on, good layout. I am really enjoying these Electro-Capacitive keycaps.

I'm absolutely thrilled with this keyboard. The typing experience is seriously better than any other (mechanical or membrane) keyboard I've ever used. The keyboard itself is built to last and looks really sleek. The base keycaps also look really good and the EC switches are so smooth. I've had switches like the Cherry MX Silent Reds that are a bit too "mushy" and I sometimes didn't press keys all the way down as they are meant to be silent. I've never had that problem with the Atom NiZ 68 key. It is the perfect type of switch for someone who wants in between Cherry MX Silent Red and MX Reds. I will be using the NiZ 68 key for the next few years until its out of commission and then purchase another one or an ALT board. Cheers!

Got tired of the overly-clicky Cherry Blues in my mechanical keyboard so I picked this one up. Makes a beautiful quiet sound and feels great to type on.

I bought this Niz Plum 68EC(S)/35gf keyboard mainly for typing and coding. Overall the feeling of the typing is good, like a mechanical keyboard, but it is lighter and quieter than a mechanical keyboard. And I like its small size. But, the problem is, occasionally it repeats some typing uncontrollably, even it is cabled to my MacBook Pro (Used a USB-a-to -USB-c adaptor). I googled, still don't know what caused this problem and how to solve it. This is definitely unacceptable for a $150+ keyboard.

This keyboard works fine when plugged directly into a pc, but doesn't work at all when plugged into an IO Gear KVM used to switch monitor, mouse, and keyboard between two computers.
