Best Pillow Ever, So Far!
For the past few years I have been using memory foam pillows and have found a few that I had really liked. However, they do in fact retain heat and will make my head sweat in warmer weather. Then, recently, I woke up with sever neck pain that has lasted for many weeks. I realized that my pillows clearly had something to do with this so I found this pillow and wanted to give it a try. Since I have had it, my neck pain has significantly improved and I have been sleeping better with this pillow. I love how it feels which is much different than memory foam and it does seam it will be cooler in the warmer weather which is around the corner. I laugh when I read reviews on how this pillow is too heavy....it is a bit heavier than a memory foam pillow but certainly not too heavy and I have no issues placing my hand underneath it when I sleep, unlike what some reviewers complained about. So comfort and support is excellent!! It is a bit thin, even with the removable insert it comes with so I do use a very thin pillow underneath to raise it up to my comfort level and it works perfectly. I only need a cheep thin pillow to achieve my desired pillow height. So it is expensive but I think worth it and would recommend to anyone having neck issues from their current pillow, especially if you are using memory foam like I had for years. I am very glad I got this!

Where has this been all my life
This Is great for side sleeping. As I approach 40 I’m leaning that we don’t always wake up without aches and pains. A cheap pillow used to be fine. I like a firm pillow that doesn’t get hot, but also doesn’t make my ear fall asleep, and doesn’t hurt my neck if I happen to wake up on my back. This material handled it all. It feels soft, but… it’s not. Tough to describe. I tried “pillow cube” brand for a couple years, bought two different sizes, trying to get a good night’s sleep but found that their material was either too thick/hard, or too thin/soft. Purple saved the day. It’s firm - but doesn’t hurt. And it stays cool. It’s super expensive, but worth the money. I’m 5’5” and took out the thinner of the two bolsters, which for me is perfect. The weight of the pillow is great because it doesn’t shift around. If by chance I do happen to roll on my back, I’ve found that my neck doesn’t hurt because the material will “give” at the edge and be forgiving. Pillow cube didn’t do that. So as a picky pillow person I recommend taking the plunge and forking over the money. My cat likes it too, and I’m debating buying the thinner, cushion version for him to put next to me on the couch.

Awesome pillow but sooo expensive
First off, I love my Purple Pillow. I was extremely skeptical before buying, but I really wanted a good pillow for side sleeping and correcting my sleep posture. Texture / Neck Support: Softer and bouncier than a memory foam pillow, but firmer than a soft pillow. Best way to describe it is simply "bouncy". The side-sleeper Purple Pillow is more of a firm-ish, bouncy texture and has decent height so that it supports your neck when side-sleeping. I dislike firm pillows, but this is a good balance between supportive firmness yet still being squishy (thanks to the rubbery matrix) It doesn't sink into the bed or get deflated with use. I love the bounciness. However, its best if you're mainly a side-sleeper. Sometimes when I want to lay on my back, the pillow is too thick and makes my neck bend at a weird angle (obviously, since its not meant for back-sleeping) Cleaning: This thing unfortunately is REALLY hard to clean. Be careful to make sure it does not get mold! The material is cotton so mold will grow on it if you're in a humid and drafty room. You're only supposed to spot-clean, which isn't great for getting dirt or dust off, so I have to make sure my pillowcase is good. There's a removable center in the pillow which is like a normal pillow, but that part doesn't get dirty so no need to clean. I would not throw it in the wash because I'm afraid of the rubbery lattice ripping in the washer. Price: Horribly overpriced but its a really dang good pillow and there's not much on the market like it so.... its your call.

Took a week to get used to it
I must admit - it took about a week to get used to this pillow. I’m used to pillows where your head sinks down into pillowy softness, but they weren’t supporting my neck. So every morning I woke up with neck pain. The gel shredded pillows would quickly develop lumps which would make it almost impossible to get comfortable. The memory foam pillows didn’t have enough softness to them to ever get comfortable. I was really beginning to feel like the Princess and the Pea. Out of desperation, I ordered this pillow. My initial reaction was dang it’s HEAVY! I’m used to moving the pillow around to find a comfortable spot. Wasn’t happening with this bad boy! It was super comfortable sleeping on my back - but I can only stay on my back for so long. I’m a side sleeper. So when I rolled onto my side, all I felt was the grid lines of the pillow against my cheek. But based on other reviews, I knew I would need to give it some time to get used to it. After about a week, I was no longer feeling the grid and was falling asleep much more quickly and waking up with less neck pain. I carry my stress in my neck muscles, so as the day goes on my neck hurts more and more. But at least now, when I sleep my neck can finally relax with the support this pillow provides. I toss and turn a lot less than I used to and log more sleep hours as a result. I highly recommend this pillow!

This Purfect Pillow inspired me to spend $1000 on a Purple Mattress!
Honestly, the pillow is marvelous, but, Purple uses a material called hyper-elastic polymer, and it's a love it or hate it subject, so trying before buying is crucial! For me, I slept on this pillow less than a week, and knew I had to have a Purple mattress; it's that good! Extremely supportive, yet never too firm or too soft, and never painful. This material also sleeps very cool, and the hottest sleepers are never sweat drenched or tossing from hot spot to hot spot, my second reason for purchasing. The most important topic for pillows is comfort, and this one here is king! The pillow is well engineered, and 3" of hyper elastic polymer is what make's this pillow stand in a class of it's own! This material is the perfect blend of softness, support, breath-ability, and comfort, and you only find it in Purple. Underneath the 3" of hyper-elastic polymer is a cloth woven into the material. It seems out of place at first, until you realize how it helps the pillow stay in place, as well as help keep it's integrity. This pillow never needs to be flipped, or fluffed, and completely changes how you think about, or use, pillows. Oh, and it weighs 10 lbs. This seems like it would be completely unacceptable, but weight is hardly even noticed thanks to how this pillow revolutionized the whole world of pillows; no flipping, no fluffing, no hot spots. Adjust-ability is also great, as this pillow has two "boosters" that will effectively change the height or thickness. These boosters are made out of soft foam (polyurethane), with one being 1" thick, and the other being 0.5" thick. This is genius! Being able to adjust thickness and height for a perfect match to your body and mattress makes a massive difference! This allows a completely different and more typical material to be used for sleep, if you are a person that loves being able to mix things up in bed! Or a person that has very personalized preference, like me. From a $100 pillow, to a $1000 mattress, Purple has changed my world of sleep, and I will never sleep on anything but, given the chance. This company was born making orthopedic braces, so it's no wonder why Purple make a perfect pillow, and mattress! I sent their talalay latex version back, but this one's a keeper!

Good for side sleeping, HORRIBLE for back sleeping.
I've used this for years and honestly, it is great for side sleeping, but I move around at night. So, I frequently wake up in the morning with severe neck and upper back pain. I do not generally recommend this pillow unless you can prop yourself up in a way that prevents you from tossing and turning at night.

Firm yet soft, comfortable, stays cool, durable
I got this pillow in toward the end of 2021 for ~$100 at the recommendation of a friend, and it's been great. It stays cool and is incredibly comfortable while remaining firmly supportive. I'm a back, side, and stomach sleeper and it works for me in all positions. It's extremely durable, any other pillow I've had would've been tossed by now but it hasn't deformed and has remained exactly the same since I bought it. I think I recall it smelling like that weird rubber smell for a little bit when I first got it, but that went away pretty quick. It's extremely heavy, the weight is super nice if you're a tossing/turning sleeper (like I am) since it barely moves in your sleep. Minor downside is that it can be a pain when you're trying to change the sheets and pillow cases. Avoid using it as your primary in a pillow fight, unless you want to sprain your back or put your little cousin to sleep for the night. I see that it's now listed for $250, and for that price I can't recommend it. If you can find it for $150 or less and need a firmly supportive and softly comfy pillow, pick it up.

I would say not worth the absurd 200$+ price.
Sure it's kind of comfortable at first. I really wanted to like this pillow, but honestly for something that costs this absurd price (over 200$+) it should be the best pillow I've ever used, and it's not, I've had numerous nights where I wake up in the middle of the night with a pain in my neck because of the way the pillow is, I've tried both boosters, 1 booster, no booster and for whatever reason this pillow just isn't that comfortable after about a week it felt different and doesn't quite keep the same comfort as it originally did. It now gets super hard if I lay in a specific way (that tends to happen a lot at night while I'm asleep) but if I adjust and lay back to a perfect position I can fall back to sleep (which isn't how sleeping works most people do move at least a little at night). For something that's advertised as being the best pillow it really kinda isn't as comfortable as even a normal feather pillow, it probably maintains the same "level of comfort" for longer just because the material it's made of, but the initial comfort isn't better and might even be worse than some of the memory foam and traditional pillows I've used. So realistically the benefits of this pillow is likely just the length of time it can last at a lower comfort level, rather than being the most comfortable pillow it's more of just an okay pillow that stays okay for longer.
