Half a Dozen Cans (6 Cans) of Coffee Du Monde - 15 oz. cans

I have a moccamaster and although it’s an overkill for pre grounded coffee, it seems to be a great combo. I love this coffee, it wakes me up and tastes good. Definitely recommend

Started drinking Cafe DuMonde when I lived in Marrero, (NOLA suburb) back in 1978. Tried French Market and Community but always went back to Cafe DuMonde because they know how to roast the blend to the darkest richest full flavor coffee and chicory you can get. I quit counting the times I spent with Coffee and Begnets at their French Quarter coffee stand on Decatur Street. I finally left Louisiana after 22 years and tried to find Cafe DuMonde where I was living, and that was impossible, so I began ordering case after case and I ordered Community a few times, and French Market once, but they just fail to roast the Coffee and Chicory as well as Cafe Dumonde. Always drink it the way they serve it at the French Quarter coffee stand, according to the directions on the back of the can. You will enjoy the richest and best flavor coffee, and that beats Gevalia and Civit coffee any day. And Yes, I've tried every coffee on the market at some time or another in my 77 years. I've been half way around the world and back twice and I've ordered Cafe Dumonde wherever I've lived. Buy it by the case, and even if the cans are bent or dented, the coffee will be great. Some sellers don't pack as well as others, but that doesn't alter the contents. I've had cans of coffee that were expired by 5 and 6 years and they still presented an excellent cup of coffee. Sealed cans are known to hold dry contents for up to 50 years. I spent 20 years in the military so I know that 20 and 30 year old C- rations are still acceptable, so finding sealed cans of coffee over 50 years old, I wouldn't hesitate to brew a fresh cup of coffee. The only problem would be split or cans with holes in them where the contents were exposed to the atmosphere. Any reviewers who have dented cans and want to get rid of them, just send them to me. I've provided previous reviews on Coffee and Chicory over the years, but I will always return to Cafe DuMonde. Having been to the roasting plants in my many years in New Orleans, I learned that even if a pound of coffee seems light in color, it's easy to lay the grounds out on a cookie sheet and roast the coffee blend in the oven at 400 degrees for another 20 minutes until the grounds are a rich dark color. Then simply pour the grounds back into a sealed container and enjoy the rest of the coffee. By-the-way, I have never had to re-roast Cafe DuMonde Coffee and Chicory, but I've shared that secret with others over the years when they had a weak batch of Community or French Market. I hope this review provides you coffee connoisseurs with some insight to enjoy the best flavor coffee.

Excellent coffee for people who like it dark. I love the flavor. It’s intense and requires a generous amount of cream. I purchased this in October of 2024 and the price was $49.95.I went to re-order it just now and the price is gone up $4.57 in just one month. It’s now $54.52. Consumers can’t sustain these price hikes regardless of the reason. I’m going to try to find some coffee locally. At least if I’m going to pay a lot for coffee, I will be supporting my local area.I understand people have to make profit but it’s hard to keep up with these increases. I will find a more economical solution. And this is NOT convenient for the customer. I cherish my coffee. A real Bummer. Sorry Cafe D

While in New Orleans, we had this coffee and it tasted great. We drink this coffee every day. It has a unique strong taste. It's the best we've had.

If you have never tried chicory coffee from Cafe Du Monde, you need to try it! A robust delicious coffee! Brew this coffee nice and strong and serve half coffee and half steamed milk. Delicious. It always arrives fresh. We keep a constant supply in the house!

Great coffee to go with doughnuts or waffles or other sweet breakfast items. The chicory adds a dark bitter flavor that wonderfully compliments sweet treats. Do NOT recommend for drip coffee makers. Only use for french press, aeropress, or cold brew. Water temp above 190F over extracts the tannens. If you like VERY dark roast coffee, you'll love this. If you don't, you'll hate this. Fair warning, this coffee is not for everyone. Casual coffee drinkers need not apply. This is coffee for connoisseurs looking for a specific, unique flavor profile.

I switched to chicory blend coffee after years of trouble with frequent bloating and diverticulitis flares. Since drinking this instead of regular coffee, both issues are much improved. It is not bitter at all when made according to directions, and I quite enjoy it.
