Wonderful way of increasing the benefits of glycyrrhizic acid in the body.

I have modest acid reflux. Used to be worse, but I've gotten it largely under control after losing some weight. Nighttime can still be a bit of a problem A while back I started taking Licorice before bed and it helped. Decided to give these a try.They are a bit on the large size so that can be a bit hard to swallow. Be sure to take them one at a time. I did try chewing them and the taste isn't bad (If you like a true black licorice taste) but I think I will stick to swallowing them.I take two about an hour or so before bed and it has helped. Less acid reflex induced coughing once a laydown and virtually no heartburn at all. It is a good, more natural remedy.

I'm in the fault for not doing more research when I purchased it. I've had problems w/ Acid Reflux and continuously heard the raves about Licorice root. It was at a decent price and picked it up. However one thing that initially bothered me is that there is no expiration date on the bottle..only the box, so realistically a bottle could've expired a year ago, etc. However my main problem though (and I again accept responsibility for doing more homework is) upon doing more research, it appears that the 750 mg of the glycyrrhiza Glabra is considered a toxic level. The standard dosage is NO more than 75 mg because in this form unless it's deglycyrrhizinated licorice- which is processed to remove the glycyrrhizin, sometimes called glycyrrhizic or glycyrrhetinic acid, it can cause severe side effects apparently. It's listed that it can raise blood pressure, cause dangerous low potassium/throw off electrolytes, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, renal disorders, and a rapid heartbeat as potentially dangerous side effects. My advice for others is to talk with your Dr before purchasing any Licorice supplements, especially where dosages are of concern (even more so if you have existing conditions). Definitely do more research as well

It is a good product.

Big size , scratchy edges, hard to swallow I prefer to chew them and actually doesn't taste awful, kind of like it. About the commercial aspect : simple plastic container, well sealed , missing Exp. date from both box and bottle, no problem with it because this was a free one from Amazon Vine Voice ( probably only the free samples ) I'm familiar with licorice and I know they really helps Healthy Digestive Function & Improves Respiratory System ,so will highly recommend this brand,great price.

Very good product , servers the purpose , my husbands chews it after every meal or when he feels acidity and it really help to relieve the pain.
