Simple. Basic. Perfect. Just as it is.
I'm a pretty good cook, but hardly a brilliant baker. For whatever baking attempts I've been lured toward, I used a 'rolling' rolling pin, more than a hundred years old, and inherited from my great-grandmother. I love it – more for the history, I suppose, than for its utility. But all the videos of food prep that flicker across my screen seem to use a simpler, one-piece, French dough roller; a wooden shaft that narrows at the ends, and just may allow a little more muscle in the process of baking. Here, mid-Pandemic, and finding myself baking more, as all Americans have apparently found themselves, I thought I'd give the new tool a try. Worried I might not find the new rolling pin as comfortable, I looked for the least expensive version, figuring I could always trade up, should I love the new technique. I came across this solid, clean, wood pin. There is no reason to trade up, as far as I can see. I like it. And I like it just as it is. I suspect you will, too.

Excellent rolling pin for all purposes
I read some articles about rolling pins before buying and some people didnt like a French rolling pin for all things. Baking is something I love to do and frequently but I don't have a lot of space and I don't like the design of clunky mechanical rolling pins. Some are gimmicky and some are impossible to clean. This beauty is none of that. It's simple, easy to clean, and provides a predictable and consistent roll. I don't think I'll ever buy a different type of rolling pin. It's actually perfect because I slide it behind my cutting boards that are leaning against the counter and it takes up a perfect amount of space. The price of this one was right and the quality hasn't let me down. I might buy another when I need to replace it years down the line. Highly recommended!

Neat as a pin!
Easy to clean and easy to use. Mine gets double duty as I roll out everything from pizza dough to pies. It stays clean and like the tapered ends (unlike the American rollers that you scrape your knuckles on when you're rolling out pie dough). Bought 2.

I adore this rolling pin
I used to use the other kind of rolling pin (the one with handles), but I saw this on a baking show and decided to try one out. I'm obsessed, and find it so much easier to maneuver!It's easy to clean, lightweight, and also pretty easy to store.

can't believe i didn't buy this sooner
great product... easy to clean and easy to use. not at all heavy, so it's easy to turn and use it any which way... which makes the whole process much quicker! wish i had bought it sooner (had been thinking about it for a while)
