I was nicely surprised to get these water globes today. They were early. They are very big and beautiful. They also took great care in the packaging! They used thick styrofoam and sent some plastic plant labels and a thank you note!

I have a friend who travels for work so these were a perfect addition. They’re just as they appear in the photo and she said they worked great on her larger potted plants

After reading some mixed reviews on this product, I decided to try them out and am very happy with how they work. Unlike some other reviewers, all of mine came fully intact with no damage and seemed decently sturdy when placing them into the soil. The coloration is exactly what I was looking for though I'm less fond of the yellow one (personal preference). There are slight discrepancies with the diameter of the tubes at the bottom, but not a dramatic difference. Personally, I think it makes them feel a bit less mass produced.You really need to play around with how you use them to start in order to make sure you are using them correctly. I think most of the negative reviews based on performance are due to three things:1.) Starting with very dry soil causing the water to drain out more rapidly to compensate (I noticed this with one of my plants and when I filled up the tube a second time it drained much more slowly).2.) Not realizing that some plants will consume more water than others (e.g. my mint seems to be using water faster than my rosemary).3.)Plugging up the bottom of the tube with soil when inserting the tube into the soil. Doing so can prevent the water from actually draining out properly (I noticed this with one tube that didn't seem to change in water content after 2-3 days and was able to fix it by removing the soil plug).Overall if you keep an eye out for these concerns, this product seems to do exactly what it is supposed to. I'm very happy with my purchase as a result and would definitely buy more in the future if I need them.

Seem to be working great for my two indoor plants

The media could not be loaded.  They arrived a bit dirty, the yellow one has dirt inside the glass. But, I’ve had these before and they are as I expect. A couple of plants in my house are forgotten too often, so these are going to help those guys out :)

Like knowing me and my husband can’t over water our plants. We can easily look in the globe and see that they have or need more.

I have a brown thumb. I over water, under water. These have save at least one of my plants from death. I had a fern, one of the easiest plants to care for so I'm told, that did grow at all in 9 months. Within a week of putting this bulb in the pot it has sprung to life and has started filling out and growing beautifully. These have really helped me understand how much water my plants need. The other 3 are in a parlor palm and 2 prayer plants. They look pretty much the same so apparently I wasn't killing them...yet. These bulbs are quite large, so they are only for bigger pots. Also I found you have to put them pretty deep to get them to stay. I think the pictures with them sticking up like a flower must have been taken with empty bulbs.
