AleHorn 100 Handmade Horn Beard and Mustache Comb

This comb is definitely real, and mine had good color and marbling. It probably works well for fine beards. But It does not do much in my really coarse beard. I think that's because the spaces between the teeth are very narrow, narrower than what is typically found on a "little black comb". Because they're so narrow, it pulls and snags a bit. This comb would be 5 stars if it worked well for course beards.

I bought two, one for home and one for work.The home one is great- best comb I have ever owned, by far. Works great for the beard, and I end up using it on my hair as well.The one at work smells awful. I let it sit for a while to air out, but that didn't help. I washed it repeatedly, but that didn't help. On one side, the surface isn't smooth - it looks like half of that side of the comb was gouged. The good comb is smooth on both sides. This one smells strongly like rotting fecal material. It isn't getting any better. I grew up with horses, and worked on a cattle ranch. I can tune out a certain amount of odor, but this is repulsive. I don't want it anywhere near my beard.If I could be sure that this is just a random bad comb, I would buy a new one to replace it, but at this point I have one good and one bad. Those aren't good odds.Update - I let the smelly comb sit in the back of my closet for a couple months. Every now and then I soaked Eucalyptus essential oil into the scratched up side of the comb. It doesn't smell anymore.

I bought this for my husband. He absolutely loves it. There was one minor issue on one of the times that caused hair to be pulled. But after speaking with Alehorn customer service, that has been taken care of. There isn't a better company on the planet to deal with. I love these guys and gals.

I love how unique and rustic this comb is. I received it quickly and on time and was impressed with it immediately. I am always happy to use a natural product over plastic whenever possible and it works great. My beard doesn't get staticky and it feels great. As with all horn combs, it takes a little time for the natural oils in my hair and the beard oils and balms I use to overcome the smell of horn so definitely don't use it in a wet beard or wet hair until it is "broken in". Also, because it is horn, it will be more susceptible to breakage if you drop it so treat it well! As far as I am concerned, this is a fine product and at an excellent price, especially for the discerning person who not only wants something that works well but also wants something beautiful in your home.

The comb is pretty great! Doesn't break/snag/split the hairs like plastic combs or simply break like wooden combs. I did have a problem with my first comb and their customer service was excellent to work with.

didnt really like these, just went with a regular comb for my beard, couldn't get over how much it smelled and the rough texture, the teeth could be rounded a bit, they were just jagged edges that irritated my skin.

Ornate comb that meet my expectations, every comb seems to have its own individual finish which was a plus in my book. It is nice to know that I have something in this world that no one else has! All in all the comb seems functional, and durable. I have used the comb in my bathroom for a while and it seems superior to products made available in the stores. I am a user of the company's other products and the comb is easily on par with the drinking horns!

I ordered this because I lost my mustache comb. It came and I was surprised to find it is a regular sized comb. I was expecting a small pocket sized comb. It is about 5 inches long as it states in the description that I didn't read. It would work with a large full beard but I do not have one. It is not very fine toothed either but it is hand made so I can see why.
