FolkArtMetallic Paint, Jade Shimmer, 2 fl oz, 1 Count (Pack of 1)

I was looking to replace my empty bottle of metallic emerald green acrylic paint. I bought other colors at Amazon so I decided to go ahead and get this one named emerald. As you can see in the photo, this is not as deep or rich as the color I was replacing, also named emerald.. It's a pretty color, but not what I expected. Folk art is good paint with a lot of pigment so I'll keep this but just a heads up for anyone who is looking for deep emerald like the jewel, this isn't it. I could have bought the same bottle at a craft store for 2$ less.

I used this (and fabric medium) to paint a Detroit Lions themed apron. When I realized that the paint was sheer, I put a coat of light grey on first, and painted the silver over top of it. Worked fine, but not as shiny as I wanted. It also doesn't photograph all that well. I wish it was a little more clearly labelled that this a sheer paint color, not a straight metallic grey, that's why I took a star off. It's probably easier to use on lighter backgrounds though.

Cheap paint, cheap results. Takes multiple layers to get a solid color, but if you’re looking for a shiny effect and keep the base color shown, it works. If you’re looking for a solid color silver paint, use either multiple layers or buy something else higher quality. Dries quick though, so layering is not at all a problem. More of like a glittery silver paint

I wish I had taken a before picture. My Tory Burch bag medal piece in the front of my bag had become terribly tarnished. I thought about buying a new bag, instead before I did, I purchased this paint, and gave it a try. It’s great, dries fast, easy to use. I gave it 4 stars because I expected the gold to be a bit more vibrant, it’s more of a muted gold. Unless you have the bag right next to your eyes you can’t tell it’s been painted over so that’s a win for me!The images are of what the paint looks like wet after applying, and the second is what the paint looks like dry.I used a Q tip to apply and used tape around to prevent my bag from any paint getting on it.

The color is different from what we expected. We had to paint the clasp on the handbag many times before it was acceptable.

was looking to paint a king crab shell gold, after saw the idea from a restaurant, this gold color paint was a great items to have for home projects, paint are thick with beautiful gold color, yes, I 100% recommended.

Easy to use work. Great for repairs.

Got this earlier than exoected but somehow was damaged in transit i cleaned bottle up and hope itl be ok to use. Hence only 3 stars..will use it and do a review then. Well i used the silver to paint round sides of resin at 1st i did a coat and left to dry and added another coat ...all 2nd coat did was to muck up the 1st coat. Its very thin an in my opinion a waste of money. Wont buy again

Most golds I have bought - and Ive bought a few - aren’t gold they are too yellow or slightly ochra . This is gold and perfect for what I needed

This does not go on a smoothie as you would expect and takes multiple coats. Even with plenty of time to dry in between I have found that it wipes off and acts more like a stain than a paint.

I was doing leaf printing and the gold embellishment with the gold paint gave a really good finish to the cards and bookmarks I was making.

I needed to cover up some chips and scratchs on a victorian frame. The shade matches perfectly.
