OMOTON Easy Installation/Bubble Free/Tempered Glass for A53/ A52/ A51 Series

I drive a forklift for a living. I bought these screen protectors in a 4 pack when I first got my Galaxy A51, and, of course, put one on immediately. It was easy to install with the tools supplied within the packaging. Once installed, it became invisible. So invisible in fact, I forgot it was there. Several weeks later I dropped my phone on rough concrete PERFECTLY FLAT, and face down, while getting off the forklift... ***CLACK*** !!!I thought "Oh NOOO! There's NO way that didn't break, and sure enough... I picked it up and the screen was spider cracked in one corner, with the cracks extending all the way down and sideways to the edges of the screen!GREAT!!! I thought, as I put the phone back in my pocket, disgusted. Then it hit me!! Wait a minute... I had put the screen protector on!! I pulled the phone out of my pocket, hooked my fingernail under the edge of the screen protector, and slowly peeled it off. To my amazement, underneath I found a perfectly clean screen without a scratch on it! It blew me away!I bought another pack immediately even though I still had 3 from the first pack! Seriously the best $9 I've ever spent!

Through a recommendation on a reddit post, I found this screen protector as one that would fit the FE S20. The size of the FE S20 is slightly different than the A51, so the guide frame didn't fit perfectly. I had to use a little force to get the guide frame onto the phone, and then when applying the screen protector, I had to adjust it slightly lower than the guide frame's top. Having the guide frame was still very helpful to align the left/right properly. I don't have any issues with the fingerprint sensor, and the screen protector went on pretty easily. I had some fuzz or fur (cat owner) the first time I applied the screen protector, so it was good to have extras. Once applied, there were still some bubbles on the edges even after I tried to push them out using the hard card included, but these all went away after a few hours.Originally, the package I ordered did not have the guide frame, so I contacted support about it, and they sent me a guide frame. It took about a week from me e-mailing them to me receiving it (a few days back and forth e-mails, and then 2 or 3 days for shipping).

Early impressions of this screen protector are quite good! For starters, I'm so thankful for the 'frame' that comes with the screen protectors. Previous screen protectors I've used on various phones might include little tabs of tape to fasten one side of the unpeeled screen protector to the phone to help line it up, but almost inevitably I'd end up with the screen protector slightly cockeyed. The problem only got worse as phones got longer and narrower. But this new frame? It's awesome. The first screen protector I put on went on nice and straight!I did have a minor issue though. The first protector I put on had a flaw in the manufacturing. There was a 'bubble' under the screen, but it wasn't a traditional bubble from trapped air that you could squeeze out (or at least move around) by applying pressure. This one appeared to be a spot in the protector that was thinner and wouldn't make contact with the screen. But hey, with 4 protectors I was okay having one that didn't work out.I'd read that it's better to set up the thumbprint reader after putting the screen protector on and that's what I did, so I can't compare how the thumbprint reader works with the glass compared to without it, but I find it works well enough. Sometimes it doesn't read on the first or second take, but most of the time it does and for all I know even without the protector the thumbprint reader sometimes might take two or more attempts.Will this make my phone bulletproof? Probably not. I'm not going to take a hammer to the screen to see if it keeps it from breaking. It's not that I don't have confidence in this brand of protector. I wouldn't intentionally take a hammer to my phone even if it had a 3" thick protector on it! But I didn't get the protector to make my phone bulletproof. I just wanted something that was easy to apply, didn't have a halo effect, didn't disrupt the thumbprint reader and kept my screen safe from pocket encounters with car keys, coins, and other objects that might otherwise scratch the surface . This protector ticks all those boxes so far!

This is my third attempt to find a tempered glass screen protector that properly fits my A51. This phone is tricky. While the screen is flat, it's rounded right to where the active part of the screen begins. The first brand I tried was slightly too wide and would not seal right to the edge of the protector. The second brand was even worse, plus was too short at the ends. These came with some sort of goop for filling in the gaps at the sides. No thanks.These OMOTON protectors nail it, and the guide works well. Mine ended up centered ever so slightly to the left, but I still got a complete seal. I was concerned that the phone's "app drawer" on the upper right would not open with a slide to the left, but it works fine.All glass protectors have some effect on the print reader, and you should calibrate it before adding a protector, but it still works well. One trick to improve speed and reliability is to scan the same finger three times, and always use that finger for unlocking your phone.Combined with a flexible case, I believe my phone now has substantial protection, and the price for four protectors, precision made, with a guide is excellent.
