If you own caged birds ( mine are parakeets), this is a must-have item. Works quickly on birdie boo-boos like an accidentally torn nail, snapped pin feather (usually from getting too energetic inside the cage), etc. Wouldn’t be without it!.

Well packaged. It dries easy so before you do nails make sure it is broke up. If not it is too solid and will not adhere to the wound

Ok, so many of these reviewers are stating it comes hard in a clump and you have to crush it up. YES, that's because it's a sticky substance and that's what STOPS the bleeding. Without it the powder wouldn't be effective. It's the stickiness that makes it work. It's a pain to have to crush it before you use it but the bottom line.....it works. I used it on myself. I cut my finger and I put some on and used a butterfly bandage to keep it closed, it really needed stitches but this stuff worked so well that you can't even see the scar.

When I opened the bottle it was one hard rock! Not a powder. Had to take a hammer to bust it up. Then grind to a powder.

How I’m gonna use this? It came hard as a rock. It’s upsetting!
