News Flash! It does work.
I read the review of this and similar brackets and felt confident that it would work for me. Yes it was too tight upon opening for my Neewer TT560 Flash Speedlite, BUT, a pair of pliers and the slightest bit of pressure and my flash fits perfect. The flat shoe on my old camera, won't trigger the flash when mounted, so I needed a shoe with a hole to allow the bottom of the flash's button to pop out and allow it to synch via the PC cord. This worked perfect for that camera and two others I have that have no shoe at all. Inexpensive, and it worked.

Good for the money, but could be better
The screw came off once for me and it was a pain trying to put it back on, over all its good for the money but the major negative side of this mount is how wiggly this mount is, it seems to move around more then id like

Caution if you consider buying this bracket.
Caution if you consider buying this bracket. May not fit some intended shoe-mount devices because the shoe it is too tight. Upon receipt of my new CEARI straight flash bracket, I tried to mount three possible devices: 1.) Rode Stereo VidioMic Pro - does not fit in the shoe. 2.) Yongnuo YN622C TX (controller) & YN622C (transceiver) flash triggers - does not fit on either device. 3.) Vello FreeWave Plus wireless remote shutter release - does fit, but would not be my primary intended device to mount on this bracket.
