Pinky Rose Live Succulent Miniature Terrarium Plant Keychain Accessory

My mom takes her mobility aids to new heights with bling. She had one of the early cell phone charms that was a sparkly, dangling, bejeweled conversation starter hanging off of the handle of her excursion cane. Yep. She really needs a walker and thus uses one most of the time at home and on most of her forays out into the world. On rare occasions, though, she uses this one very special cane for special outings. I cannot tell you why, but have suspected for some time now that the cane is for those times when she anticipates the potential need for a fast get away, because those walkers do take some time to fold and stash in her sports car. She is a bit of a hellion on wheels, and not just for a grandma. For all I know she could be pulling bank heists . . . but then I guess she'd be richer. Who knows.Anyway, about a year ago now, she zipped up the driveway and dashed into the house (well . . . dashed for her) sans cane bling. She looked as if she'd just discovered her skirt tucked into her underpants in the back or something, almost mortified to have been out and about with a naked cane. Since that day, whenever holidays are on the horizon, she's been (not so) subtly hinting that she really wanted a new charm for her cane.Fearing that she'd discover the bedazzler, I got right on it this year. However, I found a paucity of acceptably sparkly and dangley cell phone charms. Most of the ones I found were of the anime genre and had no place on such a sophisticated lady's cane. I don't know the antonym of Tweener, but it would certainly apply here (sorry, Mom).Enter Auntie Ammy with the perfect solution! An unbelievably adorable tiny living plant in a capsule. I took a chance, uncertain what might arrive at this (incredibly low) price.The vessel is sturdy, well-made, and yet nearly as cute as the plant itself. Watering instructions were included. Fortunately the plant only needs to be watered (by submersing the bottom of it's vessel in a shallow dish of water for a few minutes) every 30 days. It does require some indirect sunlight, but I'm betting that her mad dashes to the car (from the bank, or wherever she goes) coupled with her open T-top will suffice.According to Boo-Boo Plant's website, these plants will remain small enough to live in the provided casing for anywhere from 3-18 months, but will then require re-potting.The plant arrived in just under a week (to the East Coast) and was in beautiful condition, closely matching the pictured product above in appearance. Apparently it was in good health, as it's been here for about a month now and continues to thrive. It does look great on her fast and fancy cane, and, hey, anything that precludes the need for rhinestones is a winner in my book!The Pinky Rose Boo-Boo plant is so fascinating due to its tiny size, and its case just adds to the charm. I'd expect that this would delight the young and old (maybe not the tweeners, but they can be picky) of both sexes alike. I love this little plant; It came quickly, was in good shape and packed well. It’s easy to take care of and I’m thinking I might have to buy a couple other kinds too! It’s been a few months now and the plant has been great. Tripled in size quickly and is very healthy. I repotted it into a 2 inch pot and it’s doing very well. This was a fun summer accessory and I’ll buy a different kind for next summer.

if you are gentle with your keys this is great, but i think it would be more suited for a gentler lifestyle. it would be good if you wanna use this a little pendant or rear-view mirror car charm, but i broke all of my poor plants leaves because i toss my keys around a lot. very easy to maintain until that point though, very cute, and the case itself was otherwise very sturdy

the product was not red like it was in the picture. Sad about this.
