GIR: Get It Right Silicone Spoon, High Heat Resistant Kitchen Tool - Non toxic cooking utensils for Nonstick Cookware, Cooking, Strainer, and Serving, Spaghetti - 13 IN, Black

My spaghetti scoop / pasta spoon arrived damaged, so I returned it. However since it's a simple kitchen tool and I had it in my hands, here are is my review even though I couldn't physically use it. Recently I've been replacing my old plastic kitchen tools with silicone tools, and a month or two ago I purchased a different silicone pasta spoon but after using that one a few times, I had an issue with it (pasta falls back out through the holes in the center) so I was looking for a different style. I ordered this GIR pasta spoon specifically because it's silicone and the holes in the center of the scoop are small enough so pasta won't fall through. The GIR pasta spoon that I received looked good as a pasta spoon (size, shape, etc), but it arrived with large cuts/gouges on both the handle and inside the scoop area, making it unusable without water getting into those areas - so I returned it. Overall it felt good in hand and seemed like it would be a great kitchen tool. My only (very small) concern is that since mine arrived damaged, in use it might also get damaged - however I think the damage on the one I received was likely mechanical. I would definitely order this one again if I decide to replace my current one.

I got this pasta spoon to replace my black plastic one. It works great; the "teeth" look a bit small, but they work just fine to "catch" pasta, even long shapes! I love that it's a little bit flexible, too, so you can kind of scrape the pasta & sauce out of the pan without having to use a spatula. Recommended!

As far as spaghetti/pasta spoons go, this one is THE BEST! Because it is silicon, it is bendy and soft enough to scrape the bottom of the pot and get all the sauce from every corner without scratching the pot, but it is sturdy enough to bounce back into shape immediately and holds sauce and pasta equally well. Good, solid, has a bit of heft to it, and you can wash it in the dishwasher (top shelf) without any issues. Definitely my new favourite kitchen implement!

Nice spaghetti scooper. I first bought the set of ten & then the tongs & this finally came back in stock. I plan to hang them in my new (after the kitchen fire) kitchen Has to buy all new utensils & these are really nice. Something I have not seen before & surprised me when I received this was that the little fingers are softer & they claim it is to get all the spaghetti. You can always use your old hard one as a great back scratcher.

It's nice and flexible, unlike my old scoop. Perfect size for average use, and very comfortable in the hand, thanks to the silicone.

I have most of the items in the series. They sustain daily use and dishwashing. My only complaint is the plastic taste. They say good grade silicone has no taste, and this is definitely not the case.

Love the GIR products. This is much flatter than what I am used to, but it works very well.

Works vey well, just as expected.

We have been replacing all our cooking utensils with premium eu food grade silicone. Had spend days researching and finding the best brands and for pasta forks, this is the best brand that makes one. Food does not stick on this material which makes cleaning insanely easy. Usually before you put something in the dishwasher you pre rinse it first, a pre rinse with hot water is all that is needed to clean this. The metal core is solid and does not bend easily. I will update after a year's worth of usage.

Works great, very sturdy.

I have had several spaghetti spoons over the years and this one functions poorly. When attempting to take a spoonful of spaghetti, most of it slides off the spoon making it difficult to use. Other ones I have used previously have worked better for me. Disappointed. I have other GIR items that I really like. Just not this one.
