I recently had to purchase a new oven because nothing I baked came out as it should have. Cakes sunk in the middle and golden colour on one side only. Possibly a heating element broken. Due to arthritis I decided to buy a new mixer because I only had a hand held one. Today I made perfect custard creams and I found that this mixer was great. Not as noisey as my hand held mixer and very easy to use and clean. Nice size and weight for my needs and well worth the money.

I was buying this mixer for my wife and she is so excited, it’s really good and easy to use. She really happy. She make a dought and it’s really easy and nice. Highly recommended, easy to use and easy to clean.

This is the first such mixer I have had so cannot compare to any other, although I did do my research.. However, due to wrist problem I can no longer bake “the old fashioned way” and this mixer has set me free in the kitchen again! I only received it 3 days ago, well ahead of first estimated date and a day earlier than revised date, even with lockdown. So far I have made rock cakes, pastry and an upside-down cake using it and all have come out superbly. Suckers make it solid to the counter top. Blades reach deep enough into the bowl. Sound is fairly quiet. All in all I’m happy. I haven’t yet made bread using it (will do this week though) but do not foresee any problems. Will revise review if I do!

This is the best mixer in the market. I have used to to make Cakes, Gateau, bread and dough of any kind, they all were made perfect.I got it with the rubber blade attached to the mixer and it scrapes from bottom as well as from the corners. Most of the mixers don't do it but this one is perfect. As i bake a lot therefore beginers you should go for this one . I recomend it.

My boyfriend bought this for me at ChristmasAfter testing for a while I love this mixer it’s so easy to use, has different attachments, different speed settings which vary from very slow - very fast, pulse option, splatter guard and the design looks amazing in our kitchen

I bought this mixer in October 2022 and have used it mainly for mixing bread dough which I do every 2 to 3 weeks (two batches, i.e. two loaves of 900 grams usually). The dough hook has worn significantly during this time and being made from aluminium creates a black residue at the point it attaches to the mixer and as the hook needs to be removed when removing the dough has sometimes contaminated the dough.I have tried to buy a replacement and this is where things become very disappointing. I have not been able to locate one anywhere, including from Jack Stoenhouse website. I wrote to the company and they informed me the model had been discontinued about a year ago and they do not have spare attachments. This is strange to the point of being unacceptable that spares are not available such a short period after a product is discontinued, but also it means this particular fitting has not been used for their other or following products – perhaps considered a design weakness. I was also informed in a subsequent email that the product is designed and manufactured in the far-east. My interpretation of this is that the company is simply a conduit for far eastern products probably from a variety of producers.I now have a mixer that is no use for the main purpose I bought it. I shall be selling it (without dough hook) and buying another, but definitely not from Jack Stonehouse.

Brilliant mixer, I have gone through 3 different stand mixers now and have been longing to find one that has the power to mix at fast speed as well as be able to mix slowly to avoid pebble dashing my kitchen! This one certainly has both. Love it. No need to splash out hundreds on the more well known brands, this one has it all.

My previous mixer lasted me 14 years and I hated having to get a new one but we lost the attachments in a house move. I reluctantly got this one but I absolutely love it.. Great value and looks good too. Perfect for teaching my kids to bake too. Good size and doesn't take up too much room.

This arrived with a British electrical plug.
